Ending, the story was fine barring some minor issues that others and I have overlooked many times because the series is damn amazing. However the ending was just too much crap thrown at us in one sitting.
Do people hate the endings or story?

The ending pretty much. Even if it's just a hallucination, it's still pretty bad. And mind blowing.

I'm a little conflicted.

The story itself has brought me to tears several times today. The story is awesome. Its the endings that I hate.

There are plot-holes in the story, but they are easily overlooked. The endings however, are ****ing terrible, and ruin an otherwise great game.

Story was incredible.
Ending removed all desire to ever touch the series again.

Exactly what I was thinking. Although I wouldn't say the ending hurt, but it was a big letdown. I was just like "What? That's it? This was shaping up to be my favorite game ever, and this is how it ends?"

the whole mass effect 3 universe is pretty cool,, and as a result the story told in it is fun, like an interactive star wars, and who doesn't like star wars?
the ending was.... confusing

The ending; the story was phenomenal otherwise.

Ending.
I mean, story has a few problems, like how the Crucible is seemingly pulled out of nowhere at the beginning of ME3, but it's still better than the two other games.
The ending has more problems than the story of the whole trilogy put together, methinks.

The ending was absolutely horrible. There was just no need to give some grand explanation and to complicate an already amazing story.

I loved the first 99% of the game -- the story & events were great. From the time Shepard got "killed" by Harbinger I went from love to "hate" pretty darned fast.
Note: I hate even the principle of the GodChild so obviously any elements dealing with that just go down the crapper.

I've said it before, and I'll say it again. What we had for the first 89 hours and 50 minutes was fantastic. It's the last 10 that botched up big time.

I love the ending and the story.
The problem is that the ending isn't relevant to my Shepard's story.

The story brought tears of joy and sadness to my eyes. It was everything I expected and it was fantastic. The Ending is what many of us have issue with and are trying to get "re-examined" by Bioware and see if there is a way to improve upon it.

For me, the endings were WAY too nihilistic and the Reapers motivations were lacking in reason. You brutalize and destroy civilizations just to save them the inevitable destruction by their own synthetic creations??? Ummm, a little too late for the Geth/Quarians?

The story, while not quite as good as 1 or 2 in my book was still quite good. The ending . . . hated it. Kills the saga.

Look... if you hate the game so much then beat it and return it to GameStop and get your money back. That will send a bigger message to BioWare than you complaining here.
I mean you do have several days to return for a refund..................................................................
I'm not sure what you're angry about, you got the game you wanted. Be happy about it, and let others speak their peace. It's not like it's going to affect you.
I'm doing the same thing most customers do - like I did when I was having a problem with my used car dealership. I didn't automatically take the car back. I talked to the dealer first to see if the problem could be resolved.
I can't take the game back. The best I can do is give feedback and vote with my wallet in the future. We'll see what happens. Regardless, I don't see you losing the endings you like. So no skin off your nose eh?
Couldn't have said it better myself. The way i see it is the game is great! I loved it and over the last couple of days i've digested the endings and while yes they do kinda suck i want bioware to know how i feel and that id be willing to pay extra to get a better ending/closure scene at the end. They can leave the end for all i care aslong as they release a video showing sheps funeral or something that shows what happened after the MR destruction. aka closure lol
please bioware do it ! do it! do it!

Story was beyond amazing. Ending was like a stab in the stomach.
...unless they're being sneaky, as some people suspect. If they are, then it's arguably the best stunt in the history of writing and video game design ever done.

Really!? It took you that long to do everything? Please note I am not trying to put you down or anything. It just took me about 35 hours to do every sidequest. (Note: I did not play the From Ashes DLC)

Most love ME3 itself but hated the endings because they simple don't fit in with the game (or the series). The writing prior to the endings was superb in my opinion but for whatever reason that same good writing just wasn't carried over for the endings.
