I've said it before, and I'll say it again. What we had for the first 89 hours and 50 minutes was fantastic. It's the last 10 that botched up big time.

Really!? It took you that long to do everything? Please note I am not trying to put you down or anything. It just took me about 35 hours to do every sidequest. (Note: I did not play the From Ashes DLC)

i think some people played like really trying to get everything right the first time and took longer. like i started tuesday night and didnt finish till friday morning but i have school and work so playing it might have taken me 40 hours. could've been longer if i had been searching every single area of the game or doing lots of multiplayer!Image IPB

Ending by miles

im angry not only because the ending was truly horrible, but also because I was heavily invested in the series and got up to the ending with great expectations, and at that point thaught it was the greatest rpg ever. And then in 5 minutes they destroyed the whole series for me by taking a great universe and tearing it apart. I remember early on expecting a equivilent ending to that of say dragon age origins based on how ready you are and how much military strength you have assembled, and also mabye a worst ending where if you are truly not ready at all the reapers win. However instead i get this where all your decisions are thrown out the window and the game has pretty much 1 (awful) ending.

I think bioware should release a cheap(in price) if not free DLC that includes a half decent ending instead of this garbage, I probably seem unreasonable but when you set us up like this then give us this garbage for the ending i stop caring if i sound like a total moron.

I may seem a bit thickheaded But when Bioware give us this for an ending, Leaving invested fans Dissapointed if not if not Downright Ripped Off They should fix their Mistake. Oh and also preferably Fire whoever Decided that the ending to mass effect 3 was fit for release.

Loved the story up until the stupid Catalyst child. It all just felt like a big indoctrination attempt and I hate the fact that my Shepard couldn't snap out of it.

I don't know if you've been reading all these threads, but the consensus is that Mass Effect 3 is an incredible game that had an awful ending with no closure whatsoever. No one is saying the game is bad; far from it. Like I said, it's a masterpiece...and then the final 10 minutes happened.

The ending. Up to those last few minutes, the story was epic. Bioware did everything right, or nearly so. Up to the ending, my only quibble was the Citadel suddenly appearing in Earth orbit, and the whole thing happening offscreen with no notice at all.
If the game had ended with Shepard and Anderson looking out at Earth as Reapers explode in orbit, that would've been almost perfect.

Instead, a few extra minutes were tacked on that *raised* more questions and frustration than it answered.

I hate the fact that the ending rendered the story pointless. The story didn't build up to an ultimate conclusion; an unrelated conclusion swept in and took over my story.

The game itself was excellent, I could certainly nit pick some parts, but 90% of it was spot on, story included.

The ending was atrocious.

The ending was terrible to the point of being unbelievable and tacked on. There was so much talk about dark energy and why it destabilises suns and instead of focusing on that, we get three retarded choices that kick you in the nuts.

I enjoyed the story I built with in the constraints of the game, right up till the last 10 minutes when when I'm told that that everything I had my Shepard accomplish was for naught.
