If I replay the game, it will be to see how my ME1/2 decisions affect the story arc of ME3, not the end

I think reading the spoilers and having advance knowledge of the endings made their impact on me much easier. I was able to tolerate most of it, up to the point where the catalyst mentions how all the mass relays will be destroyed. I really think it reached its nadir with the grandpa post-credits winter scene. That "epilogue" served little to no purpose because it offered no closure of any sort.

For a trilogy that is all about choice, the ending really shows that your choices are not as relevant as how many war assets you have. In other words, what you do to the rachni, the krogan, the geth, and anybody else, has zero impact on the final outcome. You could mod your game to have 10,000 or more war assets and you would be able to achieve the "best" outcomes within the confines of the game, regardless of any decision you made.

Barring the ending, the game was still reasonably enjoyable. I don't like the binary dialogue choices, I hate the unorganized quest tracker, along with the auto dialogue, but doing the missions and all that was still pretty fun. Mass Effect 3 is like a tragic figure. It is a great, but deeply flawed game. It will still be worth it for me to play again on different characters, if only to see how the game handles different variations. It will not be worth doing the last mission. I can go to youtube for that.

I just hope that the auto dialogue doesn't homogenize all my Shepards. I'm afraid it might.

Shooting stuff was fun, but if i wanted to play some linear scripted shooter i might as well play call of duty. Come to think of it, MW3 had much better ending, because it finished story completely, without any crappy cliffhangers.
