Told her I always wanted to be with her....
Fought for her homeworld so I could grow old with her....
But I was forced to commit suicide which my choice of 3 different flavors, while she roams a jungle at who knows where.
Did I get trolled?

Realize this now, hoping to rectify it in my new playthrough. I'll be damned if my Shep and Kaidan have to die.

Have fun wasting away from a combination broken heart and starvation, Tali. Thanks, BioWare!

Whoa whoa, seven? She can die seven different ways in 3? Holy balls.
Nah, counting all mass effects.
Without shepard.
1. She could be killed by Shadow Broker men.
2. Could die during Reaper invasion.
3. Could die on Freedoms progress.
4. Could die on Haestrom.
5. Could die during Suicidal mission.
6. Could die with Migrant fleet durin g failure of a war,
7. Could die if Shep supports Geth.
8. Could die during final Reaper invasion.
So yeah.

Hm. "Trolling" is unexpected tomfoolery meant to provoke anger or an emotional response. What Bioware did was follow through with the established story. Shepard is willing to persevere and make the ultimate sacrifice, he's made that clear time and time again. He and his squad have repeated time and time again that they don't expect to survive. The story hammered home again and again the fact that the stakes are beyond comprehension: we stand on the brink of extinction, all intelligent life in the galaxy. If you somehow came away with the expectation of a martyr/hero such as Shepard being able to stop the Reapers and being able to "grow old" and have children, I think you trolled yourself. Just my opinion, but all of the evidence was contrary to this expectation.

You realize you're in the clear minority when it comes to that view, yes? The popular poll thats going around has over 7000 people that generally agree these endings are balls.

Yes, I realize I'm in the minority on the BSN. As for how the rest of the world judges Mass Effect, I'm interested to see. I already see the universal acclaim from professionals so far, but the ending has largely been unaddressed by everyone except for the ultrafans (us on this forum).
Irrelevant anyway though, because I'm not going to suddenly say, "Oh man! I'm in the minority! I better promptly change my viewpoint so I'm part of the majority!" just for the sake of being in the majority. People are either going to have to convince me or I am going to have to come to that conclusion myself. Nothing I've seen on these forums has convinced me thus far, and I just like the ending more and more the longer I think about it and consider all of its facets.

So, in ME3, I take back the Quarians homeworld and bring peace to the Geth conflict allowing them to live in harmony. So, you can see how invested I am in my Tali relationship. So, when I say I would have been fine with Shep dieing, I mean it. It would have been sad, but I would have been fine with it. But...the way he dies is just so poorly executed that...I just don't know.
I have lost all hope in BioWare. I was ferociously defending them against countless people bashing them for day one story DLC, and to be stabbed in the back like this? With these endings? I really feel betrayed by them.
Edit: @Biotic
It's fine if you are happy with these endings which made no sense what-so-ever, and you are entitled to your opinion, but don't come here and tell a large majority of people to stop QQing and just deal with it.

Mind you, a lot of the people here - myself included - really DID want a plainer, happier ending with all the work and love we've invested in our characters.

Garrus and Shepard were talking about adopting Krogan in my pre-battle talk. Then he ordered me to come back. Then I got to the Guardian...
...Then I reloaded to an earlier save and just outright refused to finish the game.

Haha Man you people can dish it out but can't take it. You just dished out even more: "these endings which made no sense what-so-ever." You are once again expressing your opinion, which inherently undermines mine. But then turn right around and get angry for me "coming here" (to this public forum) and expressing my opinion which inherently undermines yours? A contrary opinion is going to inherently undermine the opinion it is contrary to. I can't believe some of you people right now. The irony and hypocricy is killing me.
By the way, nowhere did I say that you aren't allowed to have your opinion and to "just deal with it." I am merely arguing against your opinion. I dont' think I should have to apologize for that.
