This happened to me in Illium with Mass Effect 2 last month constantly and only whenever I would run through that hallway between the loading bay below where Liara's office was. I had to set all my settings to default and/or off, including all AA and lighting. Game looks stupid for those problem areas of the game, but then just save and reset your settings. I just had this same crash happen to me on Mass Effect 3 and this fixed it for me yet again.

I understand there are lots of different kinds of crashes, like load crashes, boot crashes, etc. . . This fix should definitely work if ME2 and ME3 are crashing in the middle of movement not doing or activating anything else other than maybe storm/run.

To do this, load your MassEffect3Config.exe file located by default in C:\\Program Files (x86)\\Origin Games\\Mass Effect 3\\Binaries Click Video Settings and set all to OFF and/or Default.

If they give a hoot, this happened on the Miranda's Dad's mission where you fight off all their "experiements" not during fighting, but exactly and every time I would walk through one doorway into another. Not opening a door, but an already opened doorway. For specific refference, there is a medi-gel expenser on the other side of the opening. And some ammo to the left. I'd put up a FRAPs movie or even a photo, but this forum. . .

For the record, this could be to the fault of video card driver, but I DOUBT IT.
