This is strange i seem to be the only one that has the problem... in game when you are in a solar system you can scan for things. well i cant. the mouse icon is flashing the right mouse botton to tell me i can scan. it dosnt work! i know its not my mouse i use it for both (right boton) running and (left boton) shooting my weapons. that works. i evan used a difrent mouse to check if it was the mouse. also unistalled and resinstalled the game. that didnt help. can any one help with this?

I have the same problem too. I have done a key bindings reset but that did not work. It is probably something simple but i can't figure what it might be. Has anyone an idea?

I found a solution: Reset to default key bindings, restart ME3, and then bind forward to any other key instead of the right mouse button.
Not ideal but scanning works now. Hope this helps anyone who has the same problem.

reseting the keybindings works. Thank you for the help... I was getting the run around from EA all week. to tell you the truth i realy love this game but i would have been happyer if they had waited to fix all this befor they released ME3
