It's pretty sloppy to not have text chat in PC multiplayer due to the low amount of effort required to implement it. Please include it in a patch soon!

Text chat should be at the least available in lobby. It seems a bit impractical in session based on experience. Bad enough that friends without mics have to use Origin chat to communicate and if they're not on your friend's list? Well you're sol. What puzzles me is the fact that you guys didn't implement any system that pre-dates mainstream voice chat. You know the ones like in Tribes, UT, CS, etc. because statistically not everyone is going to have a mic. Or even generic dialogue options that would be console friendly. For example, a dial where instead of selecting skills you select voice options.

This is just terrible. What the hell happened guys? We are making petition to add chat IN PC VERSION OF SOME GAME! WTF! I don't even seriously... I don't want to know this dev in person, who threw the idea for no text chat "feature" in PC game.

There are so many things to be fixed, that I don't know where to start. I really think there are more important things to be fixed before chat option. There is integrated voice chat and Origin chat (for friends). But yeah ingame text chat should be good also. The thing is, that there are some really important things to be fixed, and I fear there will be no fix at all. I even doubt Bioware read this threads... Im very disappointed...

Agreed , I have always used a headset with a mic but i always manage to break my headset within
months , always the cable but wireless is to expensive now i have a headset without a mic
so cant talk , i can hear people but thats about it text chat would be nice.
