I'd say that a feature like this SHOULD be a standard thing in all multiplayer games, but the truth is.. it already really is an expected standard feature.. Hope this gets added to ME3.

Adding a text box would be invaluable to games without any mics. I was so surprised when I realized there was no type-in chat ingame. :|

Funny thing, you actually see the option for text chat ( T ) in the options menu but it doesn't work at all. So yeah

 +1 with a condition, it needs to be lobby chat with perhaps a small increment of time between waves. I was an avid PC gamer and in a fast paced game, you don't need to have everyone trying to type out messages at the same time while a Brute goes around OSKing your team.

Even a simple message to a random adept/sentinel in lobby (you spam warp, I spam throw) would work wonders. Now, I can only follow another guy around and see if they spam anything... which I can finish off.
