"Using Rockets! Yes I know it's rare for someone to actually do that so that's why I'm telling you!"
"Extraction in 15 seconds - stop farming kills and get your butt in the circle!"
"I'm coming to revive you so don't pop medigel when i'm two steps away from you!"
"FYI there are two pyros behind you while you are busy pistol-whipping that trooper!"
"Don't mind me, I've got this download handled all by myself - you three just go on farming kills!"

Yeah, standard stuff like that.

Game devs shouldnt even view text chat as optional on pc games as its been available for as long as I have been playing games online.

It would actually encourage people to cooperate more as I, like most people I have played with online, dont ever use my mic

Would support char on ps 3 too. Yes, without keyboard would be difficult to type, but on higher difficulties in lobby chat would be great (not everyone has mic and sometimes quality is so bad you can't figure out what is said)

We really need a simple text chat. It makes communicating easier, and there are no other reasons needed.
This is a cooperative game mode, people need to be able to speak with each other the traditional way (with keyboards!)

Blatant and poorly done console port that even lacked basic standard features by console's standards? No ping indicator of ANY kind (seriously? Halo 2 had it, and it was something like the second mainstream online console game ever), host indicators, simple options for "Prefer Games With: Best Connection" and "Prefer Games With: High Level Players" etc.
