I'm curious what setup you guys are running.
I seem to be having great succes running with garrus and vega both using the falcon, but I'm curious if anyone has something better.

I pretty much give the mattock to any of my squad that can use it.

I tried the mattock but for some reason they only fire 1 shot at a time. With the falcon they often empty the entire clip when they aren't under fire.

Those choices seems to be based on roleplaying more or less, I was hoping for observations from you guys at what weapons performs the best with squad AI.

In order of preference Black Widow, Sabre, Hurricane.

Well seeing as how Garrus can get a 60% (!!) bonus to sniper rifles, and the Widow is far and away the best sniper rifle, that's not just a roleplaying choice.

Likewise with Ashley, she can get a big bonus to assault rifles, and will straight up murder dudes with the Revenant.

The others, sure... but EDI, Tali and Liara are not exactly primarily concerned with their weapons. They're power users. And I just like a pistol that shoots sticky grenades.

I heard about and tried this.

It's good only if targets are at equal or lower elevation. They don't compensate for arcs and their shots just tend to bouce off higher cover. I've had them bounce grenades back down on me before. I'm thinking of giving them both Revenants with Squad Cryo up to see if they'll freeze everything.
