During the gameplay, on the right side of my screen, appears a thin vertical line with a variety of colors. This strip flickers if i move the visual. But appears only in the missions: in fact, during cut-scenes, dialogues, and when you turn unarmed (citadel, normandy, etc. ..) does not appear.
My PC configuration fully meets the recommended requirements. My monitor is an 16:9 with 1366x768 resolution, video card Nvidia Gforce 250 GTS (with the latest 295.73 driver, for Mass Effect 3), 4GB RAM, CPU Inter Core 2 Duo @2.67GHz, OS Windows XP (with SP3).
Also, i have never such a thing happened with the games I purchased, it's the first time. The issue is independent of the graphic configuration of ME3.I try to change resolution in-game, and the issue disappear if i choose a lower resolution, but reappears if using the 1024x768 resolution. At this point I think it's a problem with the ....x768 resolutions.
What can i do??

Hey Frankz I have almost the exact same problem as you.The only difference is the thin line appears horizontally across the bottom of my screen. It mostly appears after 2 or more hours of gameplay, and if I don't get rid of it the line slowly gets bigger.

I run on 1440 x 900. I hadn't updated my graphics driver when it appeared and still appears now that I have updated (Nvidia Geforce 9800).

I can't suggest a permanent solution, for me I can get rid of the line by:
• Restarting the game
• Lowering the resolution (1440x900 -> 1280x800)
• Changing the resolution to a lower one then back again. (1440x900 -> 1280x800 ->1440x900)

Like I said I don't have a permanent solution but updating the game graphics when the line appears does seem to have a temporary effect.

Still looking for a permanent solution.

Thank you! I tried what you said and it works! But only momentarily though.
In fact, after an upload or a new mission, starts again.

This is really weird though ... error in the game code? I want to try to contact support, we see that he says.

If I get something I'll let you know.

I have the same problem (on the bottom of screen) on resolution 1680x1050.
I have Win XP 32 bit SP3, GF 550ti, latest drivers.
The effect is not shown when I do a roll-over too, so it looks like being because of weapon drawn?
You got any solution for it?
I checked the forums down to page 27 atm and found this thread with same problem: http://social.biowar...4/index/9653235
EDIT: I am not sure and can't check it now, but I think, that this doesn't appear when I am testing weapons in the Spectre Shootin Ground (or what is the name) on Citadel. So it may be not because of the weapons...?

A little to add on the avoiding the appearence of the issue. I've found that for me it never appears in multiplayer, appears very slightly in random cutscenes, and since I've been blazing through the main story with no side missions it hasn't appeared where it repeatedly appeared before when I took my time. Still no solution though I'm afraid

I hope BioWare/nVidia will solve this. It's actually getting worse for me. I got the problem in severarl cutscenes too :(. And it happens even in Spectre Shooting Range now. I don't remeber now about the MP...
