This is what I've read regarding your issue:

Geth vs. Quarians
In order to achieve peace between the two races, you need to get 5 to 7 points. These points are based on your ME2 and ME3 decisions. If you have 4 points or below, you cannot achieve peace.

-Rewrote the Heretics (0 points)
-Destroyed the Heretics (+2 points)
-Tali is NOT exiled (+2 points)
-Tali has been exiled/You did not do the Loyalty Mission (0 points)
-Resolved Legion/Tali conflict either using the Paragon or Renegade options (+1 point)
-N7 Mission: Save the Admiral on Rannoch in ME3 (+1 point)
-N7 Mission: Destroy Geth Squadron on Rannoch in ME3 (+1 point)
-Completed Legion's Mission in ME3 (or no peace)

You will need a HIGH reputation for the peace talks. If you rewrote the heretics in ME2 BUT achieve peace, you will gain more war assets, but there'll be less quarians. Also, if you rewrote them, you will face more geth than people who destroyed them, in which they'll face less geth.

I did everything except destroy the heretics. I should have 5 pts. My reputation is maxed but only after the 8% boost. The peace options did not appear.

I cannot say what is required, but in my game I rewrote the Heretics in ME2, I made peace with the Geth & Quarians, convinced the Quarians to stop attacking when Legion sacrificed himself, both fleets survived and joined the War Effort, Tali lived (was romancing her) and then later on the Normandy she said she'd left me a present in my cabin which was the picture. So, it _can_ be done. :-)

yea...my paragon points weren't high enough in ME2 to get Tali not to be exiled and i rewrote the geth. maybe on my next one i'll be able to get both.

alright. i made a booboo of saving AFTER legion died and I just stumbled upon this thread. Before the last mission in Rannoch, my "morality" bar is full; 2/3 renegade, 1/3 paragon. I also did Legion's mission and rescued Koris before destroying the reaper.

In ME2, both Tali and Legion are loyal, although I had to side with tali and then made it up with legion. Tali also wasn't exiled and I rewrote the heretics.

Did I have the reqs to ensure neither one gets killed and the quarians and geth are at peace?

How do I know from my squad screen if I have enough reputation points? (remember; my "morality" looks full; 2/3 renegade and 1/3 paragon).

This thing teels you how much you have. I have 5 points, i also rewrote the heretics just like you but i used a paragon option to end the fight between tali and legion. And i just needed ne ba to have full paragon, and i had at that time 1/4 renegade

Saved Koris in Rannoch - 1 pt
Did Legion's mission (where you play zap the virus) and had the Geth primes join me - 1 pt

I was unable to use the paragon/renegade options to resolve the tali/legion conflict in ME2 (didn't show up; sided with tali and made up with legion)

I'm more concerned about my renegade/paragon points + reputation.

My last save, I had 2/3's Renegade and the rest was all Paragon. How do I know if I have enough renegade/reputation/paragon points?

What if you took Tali's side and apologized to legion. Does that yield a point?
