"the quarians from a really long time ago are in suits in this geth memory virtual world because that's how you know the quarians"

if they were going to make them stock photo humans with gruesome photoshop hands with garish red nail polish why not go all the way.

i would really just accept and be happy with never knowing what the quarians looked like rather than being promised by bioware that we would know and then getting one photograph of a human with some doodles on it. 

someone should do the old tali meme except with her canon picture. =-D
