Basically, on semi-regular basis when I talk to Joker and try to do something while he talks, like quicksaving or walking around, there's a chance for Shepard to freeze on his feet and not move an inch until I load previous save. This only happens with Joker; no other character has this problem. Still, I feel that this glitch is worth checking out.

This has happened to me 4 times. After getting screwed twice, I now quicksave before I enter the cockpit in case this happens.

Happens to me if I talk to joker or EDI sometimes.

I had this happem once, had to reload an earlier save to fix it

This happens to me too. ME1 was the reason I learned be paranoid about quick-saving, so luckily I could just reload the save I made before walking into the cockpit.

This happens to me too. I found that talking to EDI first keeps it from happening most of the time.

Happened to me once and also once to my brother.

Happened to me as well. Must be something new/recent.

Yes there is for me as well. So much so I'd quickly save the game after every mission, just after my Shepard done talking with whoever at the QEC terminal...
Then I get into the talking only after I'm at a location that's still mobile.
And see if anyone can verify this: the "trap" is always at the "depression" (to go by the graphic model of that place supposedly to be) at the main walkway just behind EDI and Joker.

I kinda think I know how to avoid this or at least it seems to work for me. if you are talking to Joker stand directly behind him...if you want to talk to edi stand directly behind her. by doing this I actually avoided getting locked in the cockpit for a full game.

So annoying! I do what Verly told you.

yep, there are two stickers on the floor behind joker's seat that seem to be the culprit. If you touch those, you get stuck. just like the other little geometry errors on the combat maps where you get stuck on small stone on the ground, the charge bugs, the missing sniper dilation....etc..etc....

It's a geometry problem on the floor of the cockpit. If you stop walking at the line on the floor where it starts sloping downward, you won't get caught in it. It kinda leaves you far away from Joker though, so you might have to move the camera around to get the "talk to Joker" button to pop up.
Alternatively, standing behind EDI to talk to Joker also works.

This has happened to me dozens of times, and I always quicksave now before entering the cockpit. It has nothing to do with talking to either Joker or EDI, but with where Shepard is standing. It's a problem with the design of the cockpit and doesn't happen as often if you approach slowly and inch forward until the option to talk is highlighted.
I hope BioWare patches this and other bugs soon.
