I'm posting these settings for those of you who game at 2560x1600 with GTX 580 Sli setups.
I found best performance vs image quality using Nvidia Inspector to force 8xS AA and 4xSupersampling for Transparency.
This reduced shimmer to acceptable levels whilst not affecting perfromance.
I saw 99% GPU usage, temps up to 74c and these settings used 1345mb GPU memory.
Stock settings are very conservative. If you've got the power, use it! YMMV..
Mass Effect 3 runs great for me using these settings..
