I am thinking because of the leak of the script during production lead to these kind endings. I am not sure if the leak was really leaked but I feel like it was intended to be leaked so Bioware could have an excuse to have that kind of ending. However, the script may have truly been leaked and caused the rewritng of the ending. So for all intents and purposes, may I know what was the original ending Bioware planned?

i read it somewhere in one of the threads;

shepard survives,
anderson survies,
normandy comes to citadel to pick us up with other squad mates
game focuses to dark energy and with it there are possiblities for upcoming games.

with this finale it's kinda finished, however everything is possible.

A plot leak really isn't any big deal with ME3. It's not like any of us didn't know where the game was going (Until the last 5 minutes of wtf) I avoided spoilers like the flippin Black Death and I still knew what I was buying... until the last 5 minutes.
