Gets me curious, do you think DLC in general will sell well for ME3?

I for one loved the ending and the series as a whole. Sure, it has its loopholes, but for a story that allows so many varying choices spanning three games, I think the writers of Bioware did a hell of a job.

I must say, the people claiming "the majority of the fans are dissapointed" over Mass Effect 3's ending should really show us where they're pulling these statistics from. Sure, the incredibly vocal community may have its own belief on how the game should or should not have ended, but it's laughable making up this BS trying to speak for everyone.

I mean all that effort and we don't see how it ends for all the other characters let alone an opition for the ending you know we want to have (yes a happy ending may be seen as cheesy but I would at least liked to have that option).
SERIOUSLY did you guys get bored in the end? I have rarely seen such a CRAPPY limited ending for a game series that prides itself on the fact that a gamers choices are important since Fall Out 3 (at least they supplied more endings with the additional DLCs).
DAMN what a waste of time and money - after pre ordering the collector's edition I was really looking forward to playing this game a couple of times trying out the different story paths but I'll probably just take all three games in for trade-in tomorrow.

The only people who like the endings are those who don't know what a good story is to begin with.
I like the idea of the ending, from the moment we met Soverign in ME1 he told us that all society was based on Reaper technology. And as long as we used it we progressed according to their plans. So endings in which somehow the races of the galaxy stopped playing into the Reapers' plans would make sense.
The only small tiny itsy bitsy problem with that line of thought is... if the Reapers are dead then their plan's history. I think the writers were too busy writing for other writers instead of delivering a good story.

BTW - I'm not clammoring (funny word) to anything, I just beat the game and was actually surprised to find this reaction on the forums. I just don't like it when people start acting like they speak for everyone, when in this case, they definitely do not.
To be honest, this seems a lot like what happened after the Lost finale. People raged, cried, whined, then realized oh.... it's just entertainment and moved on.

However, I don't know what I'm more irked about.... the number or that the poll was based on leaked endings and so many went ahead and spoiled it for themselves. Either way, just... wow.

I was pretty surprised too. I knew ppl were upset. I had no real issues with it. But to see those numbers? A lot of ppl are dissapointed and I feel for them. Its a lot of hours poured in, and a lot of anticipation in the build up to the finale. For that many ppl to be dissapointed with the ending is rather tragic.............especially since it was great for them for the most part. Very few of us walked away happy it seems.Adreth wrote...

Not sure why you would be upset about that number. Most of us realize that the endings provided by bioware:
1. Did not give any sort of closure whatsoever
2. All ripped off from another game
3. DID NOT MAKE SENSE, so so so many plot holes
I'm finding it hard to believe anyone likes these pos ending, seriously. NEVER have i felt so wronged by a game.
edit: On topic, OP they should feel horrible and ashamed. I haven't the slightest clue what they were thinking when they created this garbage.

Telling a story is like juggling. You start with one ball and you keep throwing up more balls to wow the audience. Perhaps, if you're especially crafty, you throw in a chainsaw or some fire or a flaming chainsaw.
But no matter how many balls or flaming chainsaws you throw up into the air... you've got to catch them. If you fail to do so then all you've done is make the audience mock and belittle you instead having them in awe.

Hey, again I had no problem with the endings, but I can fully understand why others (most) did. With such a high number of dissatisified customers, I am hoping to see Bioware address this, or they risk losing a lot of previously devout fans.Foolsfolly wrote...

He left, my guess is he got burned out working on Starwars MMORPG. Imagine all the dialog and quest logs he would have written.
So effectively Biowares ambition to make a MMORPG killed their best writing talent.

Damn, that sucks. His writing really made ME1 and the ME universe great. Infact, ME1 is my favorite game of the series story-wise.

It's an odd thing. Because many people love everything except that ending. Not a good sign so soon after the large disappointment in Dragon Age 2.

The poll is probably somewhat self-selecting and people are usually readier to criticise than give praise, but it's hard to imagine such a difference in likes and dislikes on it and there not be a majority disliking.Farbautisonn wrote...
