The poll is probably somewhat self-selecting and people are usually readier to criticise than give praise, but it's hard to imagine such a difference in likes and dislikes on it and there not be a majority disliking.

Personally I prefer to praise. :)

But in this case... :crying:

I was super obnoxious with my praising of ME2. I was very vocal in my disappontment in DA2.

...

...I'm very vocal period.

What random statistics? Here's a bloody link to a poll on this site. Get over it. A lot of ppl don't like the ending. 97%. I'm one of the 3%.............

http://social.biowar...06/polls/28989/

Hey at least you provided a link. Looks like I'm part of the 3% now too.

However, I don't know what I'm more irked about.... the number or that the poll was based on leaked endings and so many went ahead and spoiled it for themselves. Either way, just... wow.

They feel great.

You know why?

Even after the awful endings were leaked. Even after their writers admitted to hating video games. After Day 1 DLC and Origin being forced on everyone using a PC.

You morons STILL bought the game.

And now, they can make ending DLC and charge for it, and they know you morons will buy that too.

Its just more money for them. You think they give a **** about you or what you thought of their endings? You gave them your money, that is all they need you for.

True, but the problem is, there's no real way of knowing how many of those votes are genuine - it's easy to create multiple accounts here just for the sake of placing votes. So without knowing that all those votes are from people that have actually finished the game - never mind played it - I'd take it with a grain of salt.

I want to believe they are receptive to critical feedback, but I don't think they are since they've recycled so many familiar elements in all their games. From a writing standpoint they continue to make the same mistakes.

Its amazing how people who dont think Bioware lisen to fans come over here to **** about the game

Look, internet polling's never going to be accepted at face value. But there IS bad noises coming from the internet about that ending. And they've been rattling around ever since the leak. BioWare knows about it, they made their choice, and there are people upset about it.

Just like there are people who are fine with the ending.

These are facts.

Not sure why you would be upset about that number. Most of us realize that the endings provided by bioware:

1. Did not give any sort of closure whatsoever

2. All ripped off from another game

3. DID NOT MAKE SENSE, so so so many plot holes

I'm finding it hard to believe anyone likes these pos ending, seriously. NEVER have i felt so wronged by a game.

Not upset per se, rather shocked would be a better word. But, like I said, I did like it... even though I'm in the minority.

1)  Too spoilerish to discuss here, but yes there is most definitely closure.

2) ME is pretty much a distant child of Batlestar Galactica, Halo (which at its core is a rip of Starcraft), Star Wars/Trek, along with a few other things. Very little in it is original, but I can't for the life of me place an ending similar to it. I'm not saying there isn't one... just nothing I can think of off hand.

3) The ending definitely had plot holes and even more fill-in-the-blanks. For whatever reason, I wasn't bothered by it though.

I'm sorry, sir. Halo is not a rip-off of StarCraft.

It's a rip off of the movie Aliens. With Marathon juice sprinkled lightly over it.

You can't think of any?

Dues Ex. Exactly the same endings. Destroy the AI, Control the AI and Merge with the AI. The Enemy is an all powerful AI. The Main character is a human augmented with synthetic implants.

Seriously, have you never played a Dues Ex game?

Never even heard of this poll until just now. Was too busy enjoying the hell out of the game. Except approaching the Beam. Good lord that was frustrating on Insanity.

Call me naive, but I think the dev team including the writers care very much about such a massive outpouring of disappointment from the fans. I mean, wouldn't you? You spend years working day (and many nights) to make a game as close to perfect as you can, and let's be honest, bar the endings, the game is amazing.

And the effort, time and love you poured into it is just annihilited by the endings. Sound familiar? They're on the same boat we are on.

The rest of the game so far, I've found to be very enjoyable personally, I just lost all desire to finish it.

THIS!!!! I feel like the game is really good, I enjoy it a lot. I have some reservations about some things like the dialogue, etc but overall is such a good game. However, the desire to finish the game it's not there because past a certain point in the game you can't control anything and it just takes away everything that made you excited about the game in the first place.

Are you kidding me? People don't just "dislike the endings." They aren't just "voicing their opinions." They're outright insulting devs. I was disparaging that behavior, not simply voicing one's opinion about the game.

Two. At least I that what I'd like to think. I just can't fathom that anyone would read those endings and think they were good.

Bioware is up to something...i dont know...maybe just grasping for hints and being in denial, but something is off with endings, theres plotholes there like, shepard is in space, why does he not wear a breather or something and that kid from the start of the game, it seems to me that only shepard is seeing this Child when near the shuttle at start of the game and the dream sequences...like he is indoctrinated or something....probably just wild speculation,but who knows.And ending autosave, is it odd that i can't delete that savegame, the one before you got out of the beam.

i wonder if it was the writing crew or someone higher up in EA dev that decided to make the game oriented to new ME players.
because i thought that was the most crippling aspect of the writing. there were so many moments when there could've been great dialogue but ruined with a character recounting your accomplishments in earlier games; clearly for the benefit of players who never played ME1 or 2. lines like "I remember you, you did X on planet X"

Humans = Terrans
Covenant = Protoss
Flood =  Zerg
Central intellect to control the flood = Gravemind
Central intellect to control the zerg = Overmind

These are just the blatantly obvious connections, there's lots more.

The Pillar of Autumn is definitely ripped from the Sulaco though. Pretty sure Bungie gave a huge nod to Aliens when designing the military.

Getting wayyyyy off topic though.

I've played Human Revolutions somewhat recently but I honestly don't remember those being the options... if those really are the options, for whatever reason I guess it didn't have a lasting impression on me.

I didn't play the previous titles though, so that could also be why I don't remember.

Maybe the Writers are extremely Nihilistic and just wanted to show you that whatever you do it is pointless?.

DX:HR is more remniscent than actually being it. DX2, however, is exactly those choices (you even got the 'indoctrinated' PC from DX1 trying to aid/defend the AI in DX2, which from the sounds of it is remniscent of TIM in ME3). I stll remember sitting dumbfounded when completing that game thinking "they can't possibly be serious with this crap, right?" and that was back then...

I never completed DX1 (I know, I know... But I only got the game somewhat recently, and I stopped for some reason after getting to Paris.), but I believe it's the same ending there too, from what I heard.
