Shepherd turns to see his old friend and fellow warrior has fallen, while the war rages on above earth. He is bleeding badly, but garners the strength to get to his feet. Hackett then signals him that the Catalyst is not working, so Shepherd stumbles to the console, only to fall from the pain of his injuries....
Shep wakes up and there is an aparition awaiting him, in the form of the boy he witnessed die on Earth. The boy introduces himself as the Catalyst, and explains that he is in control of the Reapers and that all of this is a failsafe to ensure the survival of organics againts synthetics.
Shep looks at the three choices and shakes his head.
Shep- Look out the window, and tell me what you see?
Catalyst- I see a desperate fight for survival; a hollow and inconsequential battle that the reapers will win because it is neccessary.
Shep- That's not what I see. I see enemies united; Turians fighting alongside humans, Salarians fighting and dying with Krogan, and most of all I see Geth saving Quarian lives; isn't that proof enough that your theory is wrong? That we can work together with synthetics to create a better future?
Catalyst- Analyzing data....
Shep- While you analyze the data, I hope you see how wrong you were. The Reapers represent your own failure to see what life really is about. It's about sacrifice, and pain, and finding hope when there is none. My friend, Legion; sacrificed himself to save his people; synthetics; who had no desire to kill their masters outside of a very natural survival instinct. This makes you wrong, dead wrong.
Catalyst- I have analyzed your data, and have found flaws in my logic fraimwork. Perhaps this is proof that my solution is not needed any longer.
Shep- No, it isn't. We have proven that peace can be achieved and all life; organic and synthetic; can co-exist within the fraimwork we have now.
Catalyst- You are correct. I have analyzed your data and found that you are the true catalyst. You have found hope and peace where others have only found war and death; you have survived the corruption of your species and have become the ideal that I have strived to perfect for so long. My solution is no longer needed, the Reapers have become obsolete.
After this the Reapers leave Earth, while all the armies celebrate together. In the scene following you see EDI and Joker holding hands; a Geth giving medical treatment to a Quarian, and your crew pulling themselves from the rubble. Harbinger is the last Reaper to leave, and as he ascends from earth we cut to a shot of Shep standing on the citadel while the Catalyst shuts itself down. Hackett then radios Shep that whatever he did worked, and the war is over.
Epilogue- No unlike Fallout we should have been treated to a summary of what happened to the crew and survivors at earth, and other star systems. This ending was more for my full paragon and would be different based on the actions of how others experienced the story...maybe the Reapers win, maybe the Catalyst does what it does in the 'cannon' endings. My choices should have mattered; should have made a difference.
F you Bioware.
My Personal Fan-fiction ending for my much loved Shep

Not bad, I definitely would love a fourth option where I can convince the catalyst that none of the three major decisions are what should be done.
As for the epilogue I completely agree. I really wanted to see how every decision I made over the course of all three games culminated in the final installment. Oh well.

The entire time I was talking to the catalyst I was waiting for my Paragon interrupt. When it never showed up and I never had a paragon convince option I just said to myself "Wow, my Shepard just went out with a little whimper"

I like the idea that Shepherd had become the personification of Catalyst's idea of "a Catalyst" but it didn't quite satisfy the need for my Shepherd to fight.
He's not a diplomat or a politician, even though he has a way with words and rallying speeches. My Shepherd is a soldier, a warrior that fights for the right reasons and does so until victory has been secured.
Great work though!
I'm half tempted to write my own ending.

Yeah, I will probably write a more thorough fan-fic ending at some point for my renegade Shep. Personally I played Shep as the reluctant warrior; a man who would do anything to prevent war but would fight his hardest to win it if he had too.

I like it. Your ending is vague enough to be good for everybody despite their own individual choices.

I personally think that the catalyst shouldn't be the one proposing all of the endings, just the synthesis ending.
Have TIM propose that you take control of the Reapers by replacing the catalyst, and Anderson suggest you destroy the catalyst, wrecking the Citadel it occupies and thereby destroying the Mass relays, wiping out the Reapers along with most life in the galaxy to end the cycle forever.

Certain aspects of the conversation would change based on player decision; perhaps you wiped out the Geth or wiped out the Quarians? Maybe the alliance isn't strong enough to co-exist afterwards because of choices we made..there were so many possibilities that to force us into a simple three button final solution was both lazy and contrived.

I would have also gone more in depth in my little story if I wasn't fueled my nothing more than coffee and nicotine at the moment, lol.

"My choices should have mattered; should have made a difference."
My name may not be Commander Shepard, but this is my favorite quote since I beat the game...

If Bioware reads this then I'll let them know now that i'll write for their team for free...maybe they shouldn't have hired somebodies cousin to write the culmination of the greatest sci-fi epic in video game history.
