If you punish them for trying to correct their mistake, they're never going to admit to another mistake. If your kid comes up to you and admits he did something wrong, beating him out of his mind isn't going to encourage him to come forward with his wrongs again.

Even though they'd make money off of me, I'd want to reward the company for admitting they were wrong and rectifying the problem.

I'll pay for the DLC that cures the aching pain in my heart, where the love of the Mass Effect franchise used to be.
This is exactly why I would. I want to go back to the excitemet I felt tuesday morning waiting for Best Buy to open so I could pick up my CE. When looking at my Normandy model made me smile and the joy I felt just paging through the art book.
Bioware stop breaking my heart!

I'm more likely to just watch the fixed dlc endings on youtube. I've bought most of the DLC for every bioware game I own without complaint... but having to buy a non-wretched ending will teach bioware some pretty bad habits I don't care to support. They'll just start marketing games from the start with the standard edition having nothing but horrid endings, the collectors edition having some not quite awful ones, and the platinum supreme elite limited edition for $129 will be the only one where you have a variety of realistic and plausible endings, including some good ones.
I do not see this ever happening, there is no way a company would honestly have this business plan as it fosters a lot of ill-will with repeat customers to the point your first run is not going to sell as people adapt and wait for the DLCs at which point it just gets added to the first run and defeat the purpose.
They want money, they are a company, but you don't make money but being dicks over and over again. People eventually learn and no more money.
Also, I would totally pay $5-$30 for an ending DLC (the range is incase they do the Endings DLC as an expansion kinda with a couple hours of extended gameplay for each ending)

Sadly, I'll buy the dlc. I really wish I could replay the game, because most of it was the best game I have ever played. The ending just makes it worthless to play any of them again.

I know exactly how you feel I have an N7 Hoody, tshirts, the hat, the collectors editions of the games and guides. I've bought every DLC released for Mass Effect (as a franchise). I may not be crying but I have that awful knot in my stomach. You feel betrayed as most of us do. Don't give in though. Send a message that we do not want to purchase games without the ending included. We can stop the cycle don't be like Saren and believe you can work with them. Be like Shepard fight the good fight no matter how hard it may be. If no one buys their DLC they could concievably make it free (which would be more than appropriate).

Not that I'm so broken up about the endings that I need to pay for DLC to get a happy ending.
But I would pay for them to script their original ending plans back into the game - the ending they scrapped because it was too much of a plot twist.
