It was way worse than DA2's ending. I may have gotten no real conclusion in DA2, but at least I survived, got to stay with my LI, and not have everything get destroyed.LPPrince wrote...

There's the 650 page WTF thread of people feeling betrayed
There's the we need a hug thread for the pained
There's also a "hallucination theory" thread for conspiracy theorists and people who want to drink the kool-aid
And all of these amount to the same thing:
This isn't over for any of us, even after we've finished the game

You had my sympathy, truly.
While I was playing the game, I just... oh WOW, this is my most feverish game ever. I played it continually for almost three days. Alas, those moments had gone in five minutes. I felt like someone lifted my high before kicked me down. I wanted to shake the Dev team to dead or until they agreed to fix the ending.
Time will heal but not yet. It still hurt. Oh man, I needs hug.
Fixing the ending won't do it for me, the only way I can see myself continuing is that if it's somehow explained in a mind-blowingly awesome way in some DLC that what just happened didn't actually happen the way I saw it happen.

Personally, I liked it.LPPrince wrote...

It was bigger than I expected.
Apart from scene that didn't really make sense, I don't think it was stupid, but rather great. Hinted at something bigger, something that I -as I said- didn't expect.

I'm of this mindset too. Even if BioWare released a DLC that fixed or explained some things it would just ring hollow to me. An act to placate it's fanbase. The ending they chose for the trilogy is the one we got in the game. That's how they wanted to end the series. Unfortunately for me those five minutes completely destroyed my enjoyment of what was an amazing experience up to that point.

So the weapons to defeat the Reaper and the catalyst was a great idea . The difference with LOTR and ME .. From the beginning in LOTR, it's made clear how to defeat Sauron and win the war. Unlike ME.
It's was just lacking ... There's no closure on most character.. Well there's. Just before Shepard go for the final battle you talk with each character. But the flashblack moment .. Suck .. Shepard seem only to remember 3 character .Why? Lack of budget maybe? Flashback should have been longer .. Shepard remembering his greatest archivement for instance and even his parent!!
I have no problem with Shepard dying .. But it could have been sweet if we had seen for instance his companions taking back his body. Not just letting him rot there.
The 3 choicewere stupid. Especialy the synth one. Come on. It's make no sense on a life/genetic level. Even if all life were to be mixed. Life always find a way by itself to reapear.
The purpose of the Reaper was well though out. The Dark Energy thing was such a stupid Idea.
They have have done something similiar with Mass Effect 2. Depending if your choice during the trilogy .. you either fail or not . But Shep should die imo with the best option. It's wayy to much sugar coated if he live and get a sunbath at some beach.

Me 2 Male chart - 69 hours
me 3 Male chart - 49 hours..
Me 1 female chart - 130 + hours (played twice normal then hard)
Me 2 female chart - 72 hours
Me 3 Female chart - 2 hours - Can NOT finish becasue I feel sick.
I am sure there millions fans out there who have invested 2x, 3x,4x,5x more time then I have, I was
planing too, But after finnishing Me 3 with my male chart. I can not bring myself to finsh my female.
---
After finishing last nite story, at the last 10 mins, I felt sick to my stomic.
I cheer, I cried, I cared for these people as if they we're real. There was many high points in the story,
along for the roller coaster ride, but at the last 10 mins,, It ran off the track of Mass effect lore and
slam you into a brick wall or something that has Nothing to do with Mass effect world or at lest felt like it..
I CAN NOT play my female Sherped now because of this end, It Just hurts too much..
Bioware you have taken a wonderful world and threw it down to the ground. Spit on it.. then laughed at us like it was all for nothing..You played with our hearts, our minds and emontions with the world and
charters that we came to love for. Then you shovel this BS in front of us for the last 10 mins...
Thank you Bioworks for making a wonderful game series then completely
wrecking it so I can't even play it anymore..
I hope 50,000 true gamers show up at HQ and throw there ME 3 copys at
your windows, Becasue that is how Hurt I am.. I loved the game till last
10 mins., Where you basicly said a "screw you" to all your millions of
fans..
I am 35 years old and huge gamer, I loving gaming. I do not normally complain on forms,, but this is one
game where I would have before bought shirt says Mass effect, Where I'd buy music tracts.. Or I was
planning too.. Like end credits to Mass effect 1.. Which is my fav.
We the fans are "assuming Direct control " for you to
FIX this.. or maybe 50,000+ copies of Mass effect will rain down on your
HQ..
PS- I am in no way trying to hurt or upset anybody but you have really hurt me and many other loyal
fans with this ending BS story you gave us..it is "insult" to the Mass effect lore..

Welcome to the club. I've been here since before release, ever since I stumbled onto a youtube troll's video that had all of the ripped endings. I call him a troll because he named his video "new mass effect 3 trailer" or something to that effect -.-;
He was a troll, but the biggest troll was Bioware.
They might as well called the game Troll Effect 3.

Its a really impressive feat when you think about it. Destroying an entire franchise in the matter of 10 minutes. I literally can't play any of the games anymore.

I'm day 3 from finishing it and I am still upset. I hoped I would get over it, but until I know that Bioware is going to fix it I am going to be in a funk.
I'm not sure when I can get out of it. A fix would help.
Maybe the huge update coming for The Witcher 2 will help me? CD Projekt Red, now there is a company that listens to what fans want. People felt like the last part of the game was lacking compared to the rest, and now we're getting several hours worth of added content for free.

It's amazing how you can feel all types of emotion throughout a game and feel none for the ending. I don't think I even spoke for 10 minutes after it was over. I just sat there.
My exact same sentiments.
Here's the reason why:

Like you added less plot and more ass.
The writing for the ending; especially the closing sequence, was incredibly sloppy. I really liked the Anderson and Shepard 'best seats in the house part', I was willing to buy the crucible twist, but I could not; would not buy the energy beam knocking the Normandy out of FTL or anything after. It just doesn't make sense.
The stargazer section only works with a proper resolution. It feels as if he's mocking me after cheating me out of my feelings.

Edit: Okay i was thinking abit and infact i think the endings are good...i didnt want the game to be a geric hero wins and lives ending its more emotional if he fights for something and had to make a choice that only ends in death but to save the galaxy but still 30 seconds diffence
