I choose the destroy ending after shooting my gun at the space ghost magical child gaurdian a few times. I choose this because how could I trust some reaper who was trying to destroy me and my friends? Though I was sad at the thought of losing the geth/EDI after helping ensure peace. But I wanted a sure path to the destruction of the reapers. They deserved no pity and no mercy for the countless civilizations they destroyed.
What ending did you choose and why?

I should have done that. I should ahve left it for my imagnination if I knew the ending would be that BAD.
The only difference is Crucible blast color - blue, green or orange. Rest is same ****.

All of them one after another only to get angry how god damn similar and illogical they are.
#6
Posté 10 mars 2012 - 04:45
i choose all of them.
why?:
because all of them were same.
-in 3 ways, reapers killed or flee, in all of them MRelays destroyed, in all of them Shep dies (if you dont play multi, only playing sp is just a lie to keep shep alive), in all of them my squadmates appeared on normandy magically, and normandy crashed to planet of peter pan's

I went with Synthesis because it reminded me of Eclipse Phase.

Synthesis because at that point I did not care anymore... bam transcend and evolve past that God/Kid/AI backwards logic..

I didn't choose Control.
I did not choose Destroy because, what would be the point of the Geth/Quarian peace process if I destroy all synthetics??
The choice left for me is Synthesis, but even then, I hate the fact that i will just magically convert everyone into half-synth/half-organic to please the Reapers/kill them.
What will I do? Probably replay the multiplayer...

Destroy - Catalyst if full of crap, especially considering the geth and EDI.

I shot the catalyst in the face repetitively with the infinite ammo pistol they gave me...

Control. I figured that illusive man was right all along. With state of chaos galaxy will fall after i'll stop cycle, Reapers is the only hope to rebuild order. They are builders of mass relays and citadel, right? Under shepards control they can rebuild galaxy, protect it and ensure that humanity will be ahead of all other species forever. Reapers can easily track normandy and save its crew.
Also i think that Reapers needs redemption. They are mere tools and being sentient, even slaves of catalyst. There is no need to genocide them.
Also idea of being immortal leader of invincible army sounds pretty neat.

Kept shooting the catalyst until I got a Critical Mission Failure for taking too long.

Synthesis because it was the middle/straight choice. All you had to do was walk forward

Merge.
Not because of anything the Catalyst said, but because I would hate to see the geth gone too, and destroy the meaning of Legion's sacrifice.
That said, it's still a sucky ending, it just sucks slightly less than the other two.

- Destroy the Reapers.
I was pissed off the reapers were the reason I had to choose between Tali and Legion, and in the end I was standing there pointing a gun at a deactivating Legion.
Thane is Dead.
Anderson is Dead.
The two crewmates that was supposedly with me in the charge towards the beam are gone, presumed dead.
A ****ing kid that wasnt there until 5 minutes ago dares to restrict me to three options? I'm wanted to shove a boot up his ass and say "Screw you and your flawed logic! The reapers are going to DIE for this!"
So I used the main thing I had at my disposal to relieve stress and anger. . . My Gun.

Synthesis. Control didn't seem like a solution, if Shepard dies what's left to control the Reapers? Are hyper intelligent machines really going to follow the final command of a dying soldier forever? Destroy would have taken out the Geth, who were now working together with the Quarians and my Shepard respected their rights as a people. So Synthesis was the only solution. It's just unfortunate that the science of it was so stupid.

If I actually finish the game, I'm picking control because it's the only one where Shepard lives in any sense; in the destroy ending you're pretty much doomed to die of exposure, asphyxiation, or starvation, since you're trapped on the Citadel and all technology in the galaxy has been destroyed.

I chose the Biosynthetic Fusion DNA ending.
Which is just one of three flavors of suck.

No Control causes Shepard to be completely destroyed body and mind. At least with Synthesis everything that Shepard is is released into the galaxy.

I went synthesis and destroying, and really didn't see much difference between the two other than EDI living.
As another pointed out, stop playing before the ending, is the only good ending there is at this time. I very strongly hope that they will release either a patch or DLC which changes the ending, a little like Fallout 3 did. At this point that is the only hope for Mass Effect and the only DLC that could have any value.
