Kai Leng was a dangerous enemy and a skillful one at that, as described in the novels. In the game, the way his fights were written made him look like a coward with a big mouth. He can't beat shepard without a gunship and needs several troops of cerberus goons at cerberus headquarters. Do you think Bioware messed it up? I think so. The end fight seemed pretty cheap to me actually, with all the instagibs (although I did comlete the game at insanity, but that fight kind of blew).

Leng had a lot of potential, but the character fell flat.

He should've carried a bowl of cereal around with him wherever he went.

He can kill, Miranda, Thane, Major Kirahee and still manage to remove the AI out from under Sheperds nose. The only thing that made him depicted poorly was the lack of the scene showing him eating the Illusive Mans Cereal.

He seemed dangerous to me. He killed Thane (remember, Thane got the drop on him) and sabatoged my car mid-flight. Then on Thessia he one-shot my companions and forced me to run from him without doing much to dent his health. Also, he injured Miranda, who would be dead if I didn't warn her.

He calls in Cerberus troops, but my squad mates fought them, and it was basically one on one with me and Leng. Still, his flashiness and arrogance got the best of him. I finished him with a punch to the face while he was doing his fancy flips.

It is one thing to do it in cut scenes. What I mean is that when Shepard actually fights him, he runs like "mommy! I am recharging. Save me." Didn't like that. I got so irritated at the cheapness of the final fight (2 phantoms with kai leng jumping around lol) that I burned him real quick with the incendiary ammo.and then focused on the phantoms.

He was depicted pretty well.
Everytime I saw him, I thought "Sh*t, it's this guy."

I remember reading somewhere that he originally was supposed to kill one of your squad on Thessia. That would've been good. Well, bad for me, but it would make him seem viciously deadly.

The e-mail he sent me just wrecked whatever potential I thought he had.

His death rocked though, but that was more Hale's one-liner :P

Exactly. Too cocky. HE had a guship to back him up and says Shepard couldn't stop him. Wow! I don't think he is depicted as cocky in the novels.

Why do people give him so much credit for killing Thane?

Yay, a Reaper-technology-imbued human assassin in perfect (or above perfect) health mortally wounded (not even killed, Thane died in a hospital because of his illness) a sick, barely being able to breathe drell.

You all do realize that if Thane was healthy, even if he was wounded during the fight, he would've survived, right? He lost because of blood loss and Keplar's Syndrome, that interferes with drell equivalent of hemoglobin. He would've been fine after a few days rest.

Kai Leng was cheesy beyond all reason and I couldn't take him seriously even for a second. He reminds me of that jackass from Tales of Vesperia what with the "OH GRR I'LL GET YOU NEXT TYME CUZ IM BETTAH DAN JOO".

And then when you fight him he's a pushover every time and only ever gets out alive because of plot armor and cutscene victories. Horrible, horrible character.

He stabbed a cancer-patient who was kicking his arse with the IV stand. That is actually what happened in a way. And on Thessia he had the age-old bad-guy trait of "Hurr Durr I has air support you don't :3"

In the leak script, he feeds on your tears. Especially on Thessia.

I think Thane would have won that fight if he were healthy. He even says earlier in that mission that it's difficult to run.

Interesting thing though in my final fight with Lang I blew his head clean off with the Black Widow..... However it magically re appeared when I wasn't looking for the cut scene.  And I know I blew his head clean off as I saw the gibbs and his headles body crumple to the ground. :wizard:

And I burned him to ashes with incendiary ammo. It doesn't matter. It goes for all the bosses who have a cut scene. Like Tela Vasir. You throw her out of the hotel boundary, he will still magically reappear in the cutscene bleeding and taking her final breath.

I think it was well done. He felt like Darth Maul. Very few lines but everytime you see him you know something bad is going to happen.

His fight was so easy it was gross. He didn't come within 5 feet of me.

He had A LOT of potential. Needless to say, I was disappointed on how he turned out in game. The cut scenes he was in were for the most part epic, but in the end... he just failed.

Well, the fight in the gameplay itself might have been low, but his character-development was great!
He gave Shepard a hard time with killing Thane, beating you on Thessia... You really had a great enemy-figure with him.

Back when they said he would be in the game I was really excited because I was hoping that there would be a character who will hound Shepard and do everything they could to prevent Shepard from succeeding. I mean think about it, Shepard was (since ME1) all about doing the impossible. There should be more moments of when Shepard fails a mission. I would have liked to see more of that in ME3 because I felt that Kai Leng didn't have enough screen time, but I did enjoy the beating on Thessia. He may not be the main antagonist, but he certainly forced you to put up a fight.
