As the old Russian saying goes:
Once... it's an accident... (Dragon Age 2)
Twice... it's a coincidence... (SW:TOR)
Three times... it's enemy action. (ME 3)

Coming down to publish or perish here.

Hmmm

I didn't play SW:TOR
Perhaps that's part of it.

Who knows? All I know is that if this stays the way it is then I will have to yet again look for another favorite franchise and another gaming company, preferably one that does not screw their fans over. But there are things that do not make sense. Like BioWare risking everything with this ending. Are they stupid enough to lose a large portion of their fanbase? Are they stupid enough to keep quiet forever? Only time will tell, unfortunately I'm not so sure that this will end well for us fans.

If that's the case then I hope the RetakeMassEffect campaign threatens their profits enough to make them change their minds. Like I said only time will tell, hopefully it does not take long.

1. They're being awfully cryptic

2. If the movement keeps getting this kind of attention, they can't ignore it much longer.

I don't know which way this will turn, but they need to take action soon.

I can't divorce my head and my heart on this one....I want the endings to be different so badly that I can't give an honest guess as to whether or not they will

What if the end was all in Shepards head?  That is a logical conclution.
What if they want the battle against the reapers to last many games?
You killed 3 reapers in ME3!! That is 3X more then usual.

Are you in a hurry for there to be no more ME games?  Doesn't sould like a fan request too me IMO.

No.
The endings are done. They are fine in my opinion, we don't need a fairytale ending.

Sigh. We're not asking for a fairytale ending. If you don't understand our complaints please read this:

No they won't. They will just try to spin it. It's too much to expect from the company that blatantly lied in advertising and pre-release.

Probably not.

No harm in trying though.

This should not be in vain though, child's play charity.

I highly doubt it. You'll get vague platitudes when it's time to peddle the next DLC.

I wouldn't be surprised, honestly.
However, I also think they'd make us pay out the ass for it.

No i don't. But I'll still fight for it. because if I don't fight for it i can never bring myself to buy another Bioware product in good conscience. And I want to buy Bioware stuff, but only if they will restore my trust.

somehow...

No , i think they just going to ignore everything players are saying or come with some lame response like : Thats how we want to end the trilogy.
But Child's Play have already 12k donations , and thats the only good thing about this endings.

Well, seeing as this is Shepard's last appearance in the ME universe, I think it's safe to say that ME3 will be milked for all its worth as far as DLC is concerned.

It's definitely possible for a Fallout 3 style DLC in the future, and people would eat it up like candy.

As much as I'd love to buy into the conspiracy theories (I want to believe, I really do), I really just feel like what we received, is it. Not only was the ball dropped, it was kicked out of the ballpark and into the street where it was run over by a bus.

Bioware really fudged up their consumer relations with this, and I hope they realize it. While I don't think any sort of reconciliation is in the works at the moment.. I think it's possible in the future.

Or maybe that's just wishful thinking.

I just don't understand the whole segment with The Catalyst. Why couldn't it have at least ended with Shepard and Anderson sitting there on the Citadel? Even if they died together or survived.

I got en epic chill down my back when (I think it was) Anderson who said "..Hell of a view." and Shepard said "Best seats in the house." That was EPIC to me. Right there I felt like it was one hell of a damn fight, but we made it. The Crucible could have just been activated there, and simply shut down the Reaper's shields and barriers so the Armies of the Galaxy could penetrate the Reaper defenses and destroy the Reaper threat once and for all.

Sure, it's a take from the Independence Day film, but still completely fitting to me. Then the Alliance could find Shepard and Anderson there on the Citadel afterwards, rescue them, apply medical attention, etc, and bring them back to Earth. It would just be so damn awesome if it ended that way.

I would play all three games countless times over the next few months and even years if it ended that way. It just makes a hell of a lot more sense than the Catalyst/AI/Synthetic God concept. Just my thoughts.

Damn straight :)

I'd be pleasantly surprised if BioWare actually did anything about the endings.

From my perspective just as a humble fan, it looks like a smart PR move for them and might go a long way towards making people feel like BioWare listens to them. They might not see things that way, though.

Yes, with the amount of backlash they are receiving and each day more and more fans are finishing the game and joining us. Even well known media outlets for example Forbes, Gamefront and others are supporting us. With this amount of universal outcry, Bioware will have to respond or lose majority their entire fanbase.

Personally, I truly hope Bioware patches Mass Effect 3 with new, and more varied endings in upcoming content. With the petitions gaining publicity http://www.gopetitio...-dlc-patch.html (Has gone up 1300 signatures in 2 days), the user reviews and ratings on Metacritic reflect that also. Not to mention the ****storm being unleashed on the forums and polls. All of which the "Yes we want new ending" options are above 80% and are 100% of the time the majority. http://social.biowar...2&poll_id=29101 and http://social.biowar...06/polls/28989/

I don't know.

There's never been a backlash like this to a game before (not even FO3), but Bioware/EA operates according to its own logic.

It's probably gonna take having all ME3 future DLC selling like crap to make Bioware come around.
