It will not save your healer but it will TOTALLY save you, unless you "pour all remaining points into dexterity".

Wait, you think that standing there for 15 seconds under crushing prison with mobs hitting you is somehow easier to survive with more HP as opposed to defense because...?

Because I've done it and survived and because you can't dodge anything when you are being CC'ed which makes dexterity worthless when you are being overwhelmed, gripped, or chewed on by the dragon, candy.

A better idea would be casting force field or dispel or something to get rid of the crushing prison.  Or casting sleep on the monsters beating on your warrior, or casting cone of cold on that dragon to get him to drop your warrior.  Or you could use scattershot, dread howl, 2-handed sweep, or a number of other abilities in those situations.  In fact, almost anything is better than just letting your warrior eat all that damage.  What does letting your warrior eat a bunch of avoidable damage have to do with taking con over dex?

And as for surviving fireball + crushing prison at base con, as a dwarf templar/warrior with wade's dragonbone armor, fireballs aren't much of a concern.

defense rating is the best damage mitigation stat with regards to melee attacks. for this reason i think a tank should focus on their dex once they've got endgame stats. the other stat i like to boost is willpower so you can use more shield combos during a fight. Assault and Overpower actually do quite a bit of damage so having stamina for them is a good idea.

That's kind of what I'm doing.  I've got 42+ strength and my con is a bit higher than dex right now due to equipment.  My willpower is high from bonuses as well.  So I want to add a bit more dex and magic.Posted Image

I would agree that it would be beneficial to boost strength above 42 if you got a fatigue reduction while in the heavier armors, but as it is massive armor still causes the same amount of fatigue at 42 as it does higher.
