Yes, you are a baby. You should play Sims instead.
There everyting works out as you expect it to, and everything is sunshine and bunnies.

Nah, he isn't. :)

I also took vacation time to finish ME3, and then start the series over from the beginning. After finishing 3, I have no desire to play anything. Not just Mass Effect games, I don't want to play anything.

Same here, theres just no desire to play anything.

Yep, you're definitely not alone in this.

Hmmm I think a few people here could make the case for PTSD. Which doesn't surprise me given the emotional investment so many people have.

If it makes you feel better, I paused playing Skyrim to reply ME2 and then played ME3. When I was utterly floored by how ME3 ended I went back to Skyrim only to find out that my 100 hour save over overwritten because my brother wasn't paying attention. Needless to say I don't feel the inclination to play anything either for a long while.

Thats insane and sorry for your loss of your Skyrim save.

I think my favorite games for 7th generation now are Fallout New Vegas... Skyrim for such a beautiful world/graphics/music and fun gameplay.. even if the story has its ups and downs... and Dark Souls, literally for letting me make a fat/large female character. Just to have a completely different take and fan comic/fiction bio or w/e.

Saints Row the Third was a let down, feels like someone else wrote it and felt rushed.

Soul Calibur 5.. the character creation is great, making small or large-ish characters, male or female, or monster or something.. but Soul Calibur 3 I liked most for its create a character tale of souls (or swords?). SV5 was a let down for me.

FFXIII-2 is actually fun.. I DID NOT like FF13, so playing (still havent beaten it yet) the sequel, about half way through it, its like my last huraah for faith in asain RPGs I guess. I grew up playing a lot of Square games such as Brave Fencer Musashi, Chrono Cross/Trigger, FF7,8.9 etc. I refuse to believe that there can be NO Asain RPG that I like for the 7th generation. (but so far....seems to be bleak) FF Versus was suppose to be my last Asain RPG hurrah but since that has literally been teased for over 5 years I've lost faith in it coming out.

Dragon Age Origins, and Awakening, yes I played on Xbox, I loved both. Dearly. It may have flaws, and even though I love it, doesnt meant I would give it a perfect 10, try to be as unbias as possible when reviewing, so tehres no way it would receive a perfect score for either. But DA2, with its re-hash of dungeons.... the whole.. 10 year (or 7) span, and certain characters still wearing the same stuff, city not changing much.. bleagh DA for now is over too.

And now Mass Effect. The beginning of all that, before I played ANY other of the games listed above.. its just... what have I been doing all this time?? I may sound ridiculous, but I'm a serious, avid gamer, and just to see other games being made for a quick buck to follow Call of Duty... I really didnt feel it until just now after beating ME3 about 12 hours ago, how depressing the situation is, like the reapers.

This is it, this is it for gaming for me. Unless I'm still hoping for that "ha ha we're kidding" and we get free DLC for like a 5 hour storyline after Shepard gets up from Harbinger's blast

Except when your Sim gets hit by a meteroite, or gets electrocuted fixing the dishwasher, burns to death in a house fire, a mummy's curse makes them explode into dust... you know The Sims is kind of terrifying.

Yeah go ahead and do that, meanwhile I still need to beat Assassin's Creed: Revelations, Kingdoms of Amalur and Batman Arkham City. Probably mess around on my Minecraft server s'more too. And for some reason flying around ME's galaxy map always makes me want to play Spore. Thank god nothing else I'm interested in is coming out til October.

Yeah the endings were poorly written, but to say it's put you off gaming entirely? Get help.

I've played KoA, could only play for about 1 hour, for some reason I cant get into that game. Theres Arkham City I still never began the batman games, and never beat Assassin's Creed Brotherhood... that franchise is coming out yearly it seems too. I like other genre's. But I love RPGs with Strategy at a close second. I could care less about other games right now. ME3 was something special and huge. A Galaxy, not some hollywood blockbuster game thats 6 to 10 hours long.

I'm actually surprised that so many responded to this, but nah I'm not getting help, just not gaming for a while. If anything, ME helped me not to be implusive with game buying. To just rent, and if its get, ebay the CE copy.

I haven't even started my ME 3 playthrough (I let my sister complete her's first), and honestly if there is no DLC to fix those endings I am not sure I ever will. I think I'm more content leaving my Shepard at the precipice of the conclusion rather playing through 3 only to live through those endings.

You know, I just realized I feel this way as well. The ending was so soul-crushingly depressing that I don't have any desire right now to play any video games at all.

Well, I for one am definitely going to game in order to get my mind off of this craptastic ending. I never did play AC:Brotherhood or AC: Revelations, and I've heard good things about those games, so I'm downloading, (legally, after buying before people jump all over me), Brotherhood right now.

WORMS. Yes. That's exactly what I need while I'm waiting for Brotherhood to finish downloading.

KoAR is a great game, you should really get a kick out of that one.

Nah, he isn't. :)

So when someone doesnt like the ending its because they want sunshine and bunnies?

No. I want closure.

I would be sad if certain characters HAD to die. If all our efforts, Earth became uninhabitable, etc., I just want closure. Not a 2-4 minute ending. Not a theory, from a VI/God/skykid/whatever telling me a theory that I can understand and get. Sovereign said I wouldn't be able to comprehend it. I believed it. not some last minute choice, even if you destroy the repears, and get that Shepard "is alive omg he/she takes a breath" ending, its not an ENDING for a TRILOGY that was more than 5 YEARS in the making!!!

All these books and comics and for what ?!

It really does feel as if they needed to rush to get it out! I dont care about happy endings! the reapers could take the galaxy and all my efforts were for naught! Maybe we last longer for having the entire galaxy rally behind us, maybe not, bleagh whatever I'm not going to keep argueing thread to thread for people who still think people want "rainbows and ponies". If im depression/anger/apathetic state, then you guys must be in DENIAL

you know. I came back to BSN with the intention of slamming the first "I love the endings" post I saw with something.. but  then I went 3 pages. and I couldnt find any.

... glad we are all united in our heartbreak.

Heres a hint. If you cant play the music for a paragon at the end of mass effect 3 that you did starting at 1:12 in this video. you are disasterously screwing up.

Said a "while" not entirely. I don't think I said I'm never picking up a controller or mouse and keyboard.. so you might need help reading ?

I was playing it before ME3 came out. Plot's a little bland, gameplay's a little grindy, but it's like Fable 3 if Fable 3 didn't suck and had elements of Dragon Age: Origins. Hells yeahs. Also it's the first game by the new game studio in my home state, also something to be happy for.

Well Assasin's Creed makes you put up with way more bull**** than Mass Effect, maybe that's why the endings didn't ****** me off like other people :P
