@the poster above me: Yes, Dead Space 2 had the perfect ending. It wasn't exactly happy, but it was good. Let's hope Visceral keeps up the good work in Dead Space 3.

Maybe I should take up knitting... at least there I know that in the end I have the chance of getting a scarf that doesn't unravel in the final 10 minutes.

I also played ME and ME2 in January and February, and I sorely regret it now.Azarni wrote...
I'll echo along with the rest of you: I'm feeling the same way. In whatever spare time I've had I've been playing nothing but ME1 & 2 for the last couple months to gear up for this... and I'm just done, with everything, for a good long while.
Maybe it works out better for people who play a game when it first comes out and then never again? Having gone through all the plots recently, played through the story and interacted with all the characters, there's nothing here that's even remotely satisfying.
Honestly, I rarely felt good while playing this game, and the end basically sapped me of any desire to ever again touch any part of this series.

I finished ME3 at 4am a few nights ago, because I just couldn't put the controller down. The build up was so awesome, but that ending... I know it sounds melodramatic, but I couldn't sleep that night and now I have no desire to go through any more playthroughs.
I had the same problem last night after I finished. I had been working early days for the last week and I was so exhausted. But even after a beer I couldn't fall asleep until 3 in the morning, then I tossed and turned the whole night until I woke up at 8 and couldn't get back to sleep, because everytime I closed my eyes I saw parts of the ending. It's silly (and I feel bad for us) but I'm glad I'm not the only one who had this problem.
@Ryukage - Scary, isn't it? I couldn't believe it either. I almost feel like I should force myself to listen to it a few times though, in an attempt at desensitization. Maybe it could help me recover a little. God, that sounds pathetic, doesn't it?
@devSin - Now, I did enjoy enjoy quite a bit of the game (I don't even need to add "up until the ending" do I?). I clung to the same hope that everyone kept offering my Shep and I was confident that it couldn't end any other way but good, so I let myself enjoy everything immensely. I can't say I don't regret it though, because it's just made the let down that much harder. I know what you mean though. And I agree, nothing about it is satisfying anymore.

Yeah the endings were poorly written, but to say it's put you off gaming entirely? Get help.
