have the same problem right now, but I still don't think of it as a waste, I still have got those awesome goodies like the artwork, which is one of the reasons why I normally buy a collectors edition version of a good game.

EDIT: seems like your problem is solved, I still can't download the soundtrack >.<

I realised there were two codes on the slip, one at the top (for the online pass and CE stuff) and one at the bottom for From Ashes. I didn't see the top code before, I thought it was all one code.
