Lets put away our pitchforks and torches and take a moment and congratulate bioware for a successful trilogy!
We hadent been this upset about the ending if they failed, lets all just take a breath and say thank you.
If bioware had made a mediocre game with a forgettable cast of characthers noone would have cared about the horrible ending but now bioware succeeded in making a belivable universe with good characthers that we all now know and love. That feat is commendable in todays market.
Bioware is the studio I hold the most respect for due to all the great games they have made.
As a plea to bioware regardless of the point of this thread I will ask you to retcon the ending and give us an ending worth fighting for, give us closure. End the saga like it is supposed to end!
Thank you bioware the journey has been amazing.
Lets take a moment and congratulate bioware for a successful trilogy!

No.
The ending of the trilogy is the most important part, tbh.
Having said that I'll commend them on the games being fun and making them money. I can't realy congratulate them on it being "successful" because to me that would entail wrapping things up properly.

Sorry, but no. They failed me with ME3. They ruined the entire thing with the last 20 minutes of the game. I will not thank them for a damn thing.

It was almost successful... It's a shame that the last 20 minutes can ruin a great franchise.

no...the end tainted any good feeling I had playing any of the games. The only conclusion I can come up with is bioware clearly does not care for its fans. How could they even think we would be happy with any of the endings and jump in and replay the game.

If they just tell us they are going to address the ending, I will GLADLY join you in thanking them for the ride. But even the memory of the ride is tainted because we got sucker punched as we were about to hop in line for another go.

Not only did they fail everyone by the endings but they also failed what should have been the 3 greatest games in history, and they were, until the last 5 minutes.

This is like Star Wars if they took out the ending parade(s) and just had Luke die and not tell you what happened to everybody else or the galaxy...
1.) How they handled Tali's face
2.) How they wrapped the endings up by not telling you what happened to/with who and what races.
Those 2 are the big problems.

If they succeeded in anything, it was creating 3 great games and then tanking the entire franchise with an awful ending in under 15 minutes.
I'd say that's a hell of a feat, but I don't want to congratulate them for it

Sorry not going to give any sort of "congrats" to bioware. Not after this jump into the black pit filled with **** (me3) from the shining sun (ME1 and ME2).

All good stories were made while the author gave equal attention to its beginning, middle and the end because all three elements are equally important. Most of the time the failure at the beginning can be accepted by us because there's still plenty of time for the author to amend the failure by concentrating on the next part, but the closure demands perfection. Lord of the Rings wasn't extremely famous because of its happy ending, the wealth of information that was given over the course of the entire series was tied, and closed with almost perfection at the ending. That's why even after the battle of Mordor and the fall of Sauron, tremendous number of pages were dedicated to make that closure. Yet for Mass Effect 3, closure only took over the 15 minutes while claiming itself to be the last trilogy of the Mass Effect chapter or at least Shepard's chapter while fumbling over in rather spectacular fashion.
This significantly damaged the overall intergrity of the story.

NO I can NOT congratulate them with this ending. I'm sorry.
To have this amazing trilogy end like this is a travesty and a betrayal of it's fans. Compounded by how Casey said that if we took the time to get resources and do the side missions we'd get a "satisfying" ending.

Why ? We dont have to say thank you , they make a product and we buy , is they work to make something good for us to BUY , they dont do this for free or because they like us or anything.
They sell a product and we buy , if the product is great they deserve our MONEY , if is bad ( Mass Effect 3 end ) we need to show then we are not happy and not buy anymore product form them.
OBS: Sorry for my English

Mass effect 3 had problems of illusion of choice throughout (the same issues as ME2 but worse) that culminated in the endings everyone hated. Mass Effect was in this game, but you had to look for it.

I thought the NGE in SWG's was the biggest gaming blunder ever. I think Bioware topped that times 100.

I can thank and congratulate them for the first 2 games. After what happened in those last 5 minutes in 3 though, sorry can't congratulate them for the trilogy as a whole, a shame because it would have been the best game I've ever played if they only implemented more/brighter endings.

I congratulate Bioware on attempting what they did, even if they failed to deliver on some promises they made. It was an excellent trilogy, which I think deserves to be mentioned in circles outside of gaming for its narrative force and well-written characters. That a trilogy of games has affected me almost as much as reading The Lord of the Rings did is no small accomplishment. I cried almost as much during Mordin's death as I did while reading Eowyn's near-death in Return of the King.
However, at least the ending of Lord of the Rings was satisfying, if bittersweet. The world was saved, but would never be as it once was, and the physical and spiritual scars of the war would never be fully healed. But the end of the ME trilogy just felt...bitter. Perhaps incomplete? I just didn't get the sense of closure I yearned for.
But still, the ME trilogy as a whole was a triumphant achievement in interactive entertainment, I think. Perfect? No. But come to think of it, I was naive for thinking it could be perfect, when truthfully nothing like it had been attempted before.

I would agree with you but in 5 mins they ruined pretty much everything that came before it, I can't ever think about playing the first 2 games without getting a sickening feeling in my stomach because i know how it ends.
