Since I'm waiting at the airport with some free time, I might as well rant...

I know the rather general disappointment of the fans on the ending of ME3, but I'm surprised that there isn't more focus and disappointment about ME3's Final Mission sequence. I feel that ME2 was leagues better than that of what ME3 Final Mission.

What I liked about ME2's Final Mission sequence is that it was highly dependent on what you did the entire game. It took in to account who you recruited, who's side missions you completed, what upgrades you brought, who you picked for certain tasks in the mission, etc. It felt dynamic as you made key decisions, lost characters along the way, and encouraged to play the entire game again, not just the Final Mission differently to see what happens.

But in ME3... what is there? A linear sequence that didn't do justice to the build up of the rest of the game. I mean, what was the point of making the Korgan able to make babies again? Just mentions of them doing stuff somewhere else, and Wrex giving a speech. Picked Geth or Qurian? A cut-scene of their ships arriving... I assume they are there somewhere fighting later, but no much after that. In short, ME3's Final Mission just leaves it up to your imagination that what you did before that point matters some how. No treats of Geth Primes orbital droping to help. No flashy sequence of other non-teammate key characters acting important.

Yeah... compared to ME2, ME3 just falls way short.

I'm sure that Bioware had planned on something bigger, I think I see the ground work. Galaxy at War has multiple "territories", I'm sure that was suppse to play in to something more that just boiling down to a single Galatic Readiness. The ending is basically the same across any final choice you make, except if you "save" Earth or not.

Sure, so the entire ME3 journey does matter on what you did in ME2, but that is no excuse for letting ME3's Final Mission be a linear sequence that won't change much no matter what you do. I felt it was just boring.
