Has anyone been picking this up? How do you feel about it? You notice it a lot more with a solo Rogue, when you're being attacked by a lot of enemies, it procs a lot, which sounds great, but everytime it procs it has a little animation, and that makes your character stop attacking. So you stand there in the middle of a pack of mobs, barely attacking, because Evasion interrupts all your attacks. It's really frustrating when you're trying to kill the Mage quickly before the stuns wear off and re-stealth.
Evasion, kind of buggy

Yeah, "evasion lock" has killed me a couple times, my rogue didn't move for at least 8 seconds while the dodge animation kept repeating after making a mistake and getting surrounded. As you dodge the one attack, the 4 other enemies attacking you are still landing hits. I just don't take it with a solo build. For a normal play through with a party your rogue really isn't in that situation often so it isn't a big deal

I find evasion is much more of a hindrance than a help, especially when fighting more than one opponent at once. It kicks in *before* the check whether the attack would actually hit. You notice this especially with high DEX characters - my rogue rarely gets hit but gets evasion locked frequently. Also stops your attacks with a bow (you have to re-click on the enemy), so you can completely forget fighting multiple enemies at range.

You are much better off just maxing Dexterity as a solo rogue. Evasion is a very bad talent.

There is a mod at dragonagenexus that fixes this.
