What was your favorite moment in ME3? I understand the ending was a dissapointment, but lets remember the good things about the game. My favorite moment was when I killed Kai Leng with my omni blade and told him off (renegade choice) at Cerberus HQ. Do you guys have any others?../../../images/forum/emoticons/grin.png../../../images/forum/emoticons/whistling.png

Most bad ass interrupt, ever. I was 98% Paragon I'd say, and I clicked almost as soon as the option popped. Hale's version of "THIS IS FOR THANE, YOU SON OF A ****!" was nothing short of amazing.

convincing the Illusive Man that he was Indoctrinated. It should have ended there.

Gotta agree on Mordin's death.
Actually, now that you mention, I wonder how the scene played out if you didn't renegade interrupt Kai Leng. (I did on my paragon run, because dammit, revenge for Thane!)

-Saying hello to everybody one at a time before starting the final battle...
-Discovering that Jack was a teacher at the Academy... And her nice new look too...

Good choices. Saddest moment for me was a tie between Mordin's death and Thane on his deathbed.

That scene had me on the floor.
There were a LOT of awesome moments, like the Kai Leng one, but i think i really enjoyed the scene right after mordins sacrificed himself for the genophage, when you see the cure spreading through the air and hear the ME1 title theme. So many manly tears where shed in that moment.

I loved all the epic main story moments (minus the ending) but it's all the moments like these that I just love and keep me coming back.

There's a lot of them, but the genophage cure. Mordin, his song, Eve and Wrex. I wept manly tears.

Renegade-Killing Kai Leng. Even for a Paragon Shep, it felt gooooood.
Mordin's last scene nearly brought me to tears. He was my favorite, and shares my taste in theater. Btw, the Mass Effect one theme can be so sad.
The Legion-Tron level was enlightening.
"I've studied all the species from Asari to Batarian I am the very model of a Scientist Salarien"
-Won my heart right there.
"An Emergency Induction Port
That's a Straw Tali...
Emerrrrrrgencyyyy Innnnduuuuuction PORT"

Rannoch, and everything about it. It may be because I'm a rabid Tali fan, and have a strong liking for the Geth on top of that. But I think even without that, that was perfect.

Rannoch is possibly the best scene for me.
I wasn't like near tears, but my heart was in my throat with happiness and anticipation.
which makes the ending all the more gut-wrenching.
I really did love the game, from start to 10 minutes before the end. the game was fantastic, lots of great nods and weaving of the decisions you made in the past.
but i hated all the endings, and for reasons that have been done to death already on the forum.

I'm currently working on the Quarian/Geth missions right now, but, so far, I have to say my favorite moments include:
1. Mordin & Thane's last moments. I wasn't too terribly surprised that Thane died, but it was awesome that he got to go down fighting. Mordin's death was definitely a shock, but, again, it was extremely fitting. There were tears.
2. Thinking that Grunt died after the whole Rachni business. I applaud Bioware for this one. I yelled at my t.v, effectively weirding out my boyfriend's roommates. The fact that he limps out of the cave, covered in all that gore, makes that scene easily become one of my favorites.
3. Renegade Interrupting Udina on my paragon playthrough. So worth it.
As I play through the rest of the game, I'm sure there will be plenty of other awesome moments. I'm already aware of the endings, but I'm not going to let that stop me from really enjoying this game.
Someone earlier said that the moments are what keeps them coming back to Bioware games, and I have to agree. While there are other developers that I like, there has always been something special about Bioware. And as long as they have these characters and these sometimes, heart-breaking, moments, I'll keep on coming back to play their games

My favorite moment is also my saddest moment.
Sitting with Liara on the bed, her suggesting that we get lost together. It was touching and heartfelt and it now makes me so incredibly sad whenever i think that my shepard was brutally ripped from her arms...

Rannoch. Blowing up that Reaper on foot. Made better if on the Talimance path.
Thane throwing down with Kai was cool. The Genophage cure was excellent. Citadel coup.
So basically all of act II, most of act I. The battle for Earth was fair, but could probably benefit from missions in multiple locations like the other big battles.

Finally! A positive thread! I have to hunt like Garrus with a sinper rifle if I try to spot one.
So let me list five.
1. Reuniting with Jack, especially the shuttle scene after Grissom Academy. She was the romance option for my first-playthrough Shepard, and in that shuttle I felt that "Hey, I'm home, that's Mass Effect indeed" for the first time.
2. Grunt showing up after I believed him to be dead. When he showed up, limped out of the cave, that was... incredibly moving. I let out a huge sight, and only then realzed that I was holding my breath the entire time.
3. Garrus Vakarian on his favorite spot on the Citadel.
4. Executing Udina (the renegade interrupt, yet to see the others). That worked out really well.
5. Shepard and Anderson sitting on the Citadel, admiring the vista while being covered in blood. Anderson had a pretty good goodbye scene, that moved me.
(I'd list something about the scene after that, but that's not the safest thing to do in these forums nowadays)

Same mission, Shepard:

When Liara shows me the time capsule containing the warning about the Reapers for the next cycle. I teared up at this scene, it made me realize that we might not make it through this after all, that we might fail. And seeing a VI version of myself as the "hero" of this cycle just made it even more emotional.
Sadly the ending killed all of these great moments.
