My biggest fear would be this: In a few weeks, bioware will make a blog post explaining the endings, and essentially giving people a 'headcanon'-style ending that calms the masses.

Endings should not need to be explained in detail. If something this major needs to be explained, it is not the fault of the viewer.

They can do what they want with this. I do what i want with my money.

that's right, we are not bagging for something. if they think the ending is good enough then i get nothig to say. it's just business.

Bet that it'll be a comment like Walters "It’s not the destination—it’s the journey”.

They need to pick the lesser poison and just admit they screwed up and just fix them.

Hope not, because that will definitely start the **** storm all over again.
Not that I don't want the **** storm to continue, as I feel that Bioware needs to at least pay serious attention to many of the concerns people are bringing up in regards to the endings. Particularly the fact that it doesn't match the tone of the rest of the series, it lacks choice variety, and worst of all came out of left field entirely. I'm just not looking forward to the constant infighting these endings have caused. You can only hear so many 'no, YOU's before you get sick of it.

Bioware probably thought that we are smart enough to understand the meaning behind those scenes after Herbinger beamed Shepard down.

Well I'm not...

You're smart enough to realize it didn't make any ****ing sense, that's the problem.

It's not perfect, but it's something. I expect some sort of official response sometime this coming Tuesday

Don't expect it that fast.  It took them two or three weeks to come up with an official statement when there was a similar backlash over the lack of Same Sex Romance Arcs in SWTOR.

That is what I figure.  It'll take time to figure out how to say something that isn't even more upsetting.  And I fully expect something along the lines of "the endings are all you'll get" or "Here is what the point was since you don't get it."

While I have some slight hope since they are obviously at least considering a response, I am not expecting anything that helps at all.

Please Bioware, whatever your response is, don't assume that the problem is that we "don't get it."  A person can completely understand something and still hate it.

I just tweeted Gamble to ask him what good that will do that he's reading our reponses as it is very likely not going to change anything anway... doubt that he'll respond, but there it is.

I think they are waiting for the WTFOMG #$%^storm to die down. While there is still anger on the forums people are starting to chill out and be more open minded about the ending.

There is no being "open minded" about these endings.

Let's be realistic, any DLC that would come out in the next couple of months have been in planning and development for a long time now. They aren't going to magically come out with a new ending within a week. If they ever do it, and I doubt they will, we're likely to wait 6 months or more.

If we're lucky we might get an answer that don't makes us want to stab someone.
My faith in him and BioWare is non existing however so most likely he will respond with nothing

Right I took 6 characters to level 60 in ME1 for this? To have my decisions in all that time mean nothing? Sorry I will not be open minded, I'm not angry either merely VERY dissapointed.

Agreed. While I'm happy that I'm not alone in disliking the endings I'd prefer less vitriol on the forums. Some of those comments tweeted at Michel Gamble made me cringe. Bioware messed up, but that's no excuse for being rude. The dev team put a lot of work into this game, and it shows. The most constructive thing the community could do is make an itemized list of grievances and inconsistencies, like we did with Deception.

That said, if the only response we're going to get is a "it's the journey that matters"-style blog post then I'll be pissed off.

I have great diffculty believing that a group of educated and experienced writers could put this out there and NOT expect angry villagers with pitchforks and torches.  Do single player games like this have focus groups or play-testers that get to play the entire game?  I'm just trying to think of any reasons that such a dissapointing and illogical ending (for both characters and civilizations) could get through when just about everything else in the game was spot on.

We'll see. I seriously doubt they will listen to their fans, unlike Bethesda did with Broken Steel. Something tells me EA is nowhere near as flexible as Bethesda.

Might have something to do with the fact that Bethesda has nearly always pulls a yearly profit, and EA doesn't.

Wow, poor Mr Gamble. He's cyber stalked by a horde of foaming-at-the-mouth berserkers, brandishing sharpens copies of ME3 and seeking an end. Or an ending. Possibly his.

Shame my copy is digital. Maybe I'll just rip the hdd from my rig instead...

But if ending DLC = more money then what's the issue?

The game came on two discs on the 360. I'll give you one of mine.

If bioware just released a patch that contained an actual ending then I would happily forget the whole thing ever happened. This isnt gonna end well for bioware unless we get some actual answers to some genuine questions.

Questions like: Is reworking the ending even on the table?

Our poll has over 10000 votes. Only a fraction are happy with the way this trilogy was butchered. We need answers. We dont deserve to be stalled.
