I think they are waiting for the WTFOMG #$%^storm to die down. While there is still anger on the forums people are starting to chill out and be more open minded about the ending.
Why would we be open-minded about so many blatant plotholes?
Indeed. If they came out and said "this is how we honestly wanted to end the story", then by all means I will respect that even if I do not agree with it. However, I will not accept seeing my squadmates teleport from being blasted by Harbinger on earth, on to the Normandy and suddenly fleeing through a mass relay. It makes no sense.

This should prove one thing at least.
They ARE listening to us.
Remember; There's a difference between 'hearing' and 'listening'.
Also, the fact that they're not yet ready to give a response could also mean they're discussing what can be done.
Perhaps there IS hope afterall?
I sure hope so.

I bet the official response is going to be something like this: "We put a lot of thought into the endings and they reflect our artistic vision. If you don't like them, you're just too stupid to understand and appreciate them properly. Here, have some DLC with a new squad mate to live in the empty life support room. It's not going to change our artful endings, obviously"

If this is the type of DLC we can look forward to... I honestly don't know what to say. Any Pre-End DLC,doesn't make much sense to me. There can be none after the end so...?

This is the thing. I can only speak for myself, but many others are totally okay with downer, bittersweet, hell even ambiguous endings with lots of room for interpretation. 2001 is one of my favorite sci-fi flicks of all time, but being a Kubrick film its ending is a puzzle, it makes no attempt to disguise the fact it's a puzzle, and the clues to decipher and make informed interpretations regarding the ending are actually within the context of the film itself.
ME3's ending is just a half-assed, uncoordinated mess that defies the very logic, theme, and painstaking attention to detail that preceded it.

Hey, at least he died before he had to meet that awful god-child like shepard did. I consider that a mercy.

They have to sit down and figure out how to spin this.
that is pretty easy: Add another route to destroy the reapers. Like, e.g. actually defeating them.

I wouldn't be surprised if they did it on purpose just so they can add a DLC for a "proper ending" and throw a 10 buck price tag on it.
Ya my faith in Bioware is pretty much shot right now. DA2, TOR, the Deception novel, now this...they are on quite the slippery slope.

So, the people who hate the ending also foolishly believe there's even the slightest chance that it will be redone. It figures.
Fallout 3 did it so why not ME3.

We vote with our wallets. How many of the pissed off fans on this forum will be buying any more DLCs if the endings aren't changed.

Oh please, we're gamers. Gamers get mad and yell at things and as soon as a new DLC is released we drop all our rage and enter "ooooh, look moar awesome stuff for my favorite game!".

FO3 is the only game I can think of that had the ending retconned later on, every other game with an aweful ending has had a variation of the 'Deal with it' reaction.
Odds are, we'll be told to 'deal with it' in some form.
(I Sure as hell hope Mac Walters doesn't go into a long list of why the endings work, I'd feel insulted)
