Again (and for the last time, I swear, I made my point)
There should be no perfect ending with no major sacrifices.
It's a war with the Reapers.
If you are looking for a war with the Bunny-things, then go Walt Disney.
The point of this war is to be desperate, the chances to be slim and...
Eh, nevermind.

Strawmen get tedious.  "The ending is extremely flawed and left me with no desire to continue playing ME" =/= "Why isn't this like a Disney movie?"

It's war. Everyone understands that. Furthermore, by the time you reach the end, sacrifices have already been made. Earth is a pile of rubble, as are Palaven and Thessia. Colonies have been wiped out. Depending on how you play the game, entire races are either extinct (Geth/Quarian) or doomed to extinction (Krogan). Even if BW made a "perfect" ending, victory still comes at a high cost.

I agree a "good" end shouldn't come without sacrifice. But what gives significance to sacrifice is choice. The current game ending only allows for a false choice. Shep might as well pick any of the options, since as far as we know the result is the same (and therefore, insignificant).

At this point, and after some thought, I'm beginning to suspect a response that goes something like, "we can't change major game points that are already on the disc through DLC" since they already remarked about how Javik had to be made ahead of release so it could be set in place on the disc. This worries me.

If this is the case then the best thing that they could do is release some form of expansion which would follow the entire "hallucination/nightmare theory." But the likely response (and more cost-effective one) would be to release some form of epilogue instead, but that would be bad on its own. Even with a "perfect" ending in its current form, your team gets stranded somewhere far off with no way of leaving and the galaxy is left divided. What kind of an epilogue would that get? Give it some thought, because I believe an epilogue to the ending as it is right now would provide no more closure than before.

I have heard that they finally remarked in response to the ending issues people are having over Twitter. From what I read it is not very informative but at least they acknowledged it and didn't immediately shoot it down, which is a very good sign. Just keep it up everyone and don't forget to keep it civil.

We will hold the line.

Guys. Based on what I'm seeing many people wanting new, better endings are resorting to speculations about what BioWare might do or might not do. There's also many people that are bashing the staff: calling them "idiots," "morons," etc.

This should go without saying but come on people. That's not the way to go about getting proper endings and having BioWare respond in a positive manner. You'll just tick them off more. We need to show them that the endings are bad in their current form and here's why, not just insult them. Post more civil threads with backed up details and explanations, send emails, and send letters.

I have felt just completely depressed and disheartened since I finally finished Mass Effect 3. One of the immediate thoughts in my mind is "what was the point of it all?" I have loved these games, all of them, I was completely into Mass Effect 3, I shed man-tears over sections of story, I laughed joyfully, I smiled happily.... and then I was left with a giant hole inside of myself. Why?

This is war, sacrifice is going to happen, we are going to lose people, Shepard could die, and even a "good" ending with all that had to take place will still hold sadness. But there is no "good" ending. There is just a slightly different twist on ONE ending, that left me confused and then depressed. This is NOT the story I have loved from the beginning. This is not the series that has had me as a loyal fan for so long.
