They won't fix it I wager. Cause that would mean they need to spend money on changing something that clearly means **** to them anyhow. And with their very much crippled fan base for this game due to it's ending, I doubt there would be too many that would happily and blindly buy a DLC / Patch for a supposedly better ending.

Make it a free fix and promise future worthwhile DLC, then they might win back my desire to play the game. Actually lost all will to even start over, still had plans to do so 20ish minutes ago. >>

I purchased all of the DLCs in ME2 because the game had a tremendous amount of replayability, and the DLCs added a lot of benefits, e.g. LotSB.

But now that I have reached the ending for ME3, I don't see the need for any DLCs after From Ashes, unless either a DLC or a patch fixes the ending.

Up until now, choices meant something, but nothing changes this ME3 ending...a huge letdown for the core fans of BioWare.:crying:

I never thought that BioWare would create a RPG that only has one playthrough, but ME3 is a one-playthrough game.

Back to Amalur - even with the level cap (bad idea also), at least it can be replayed with different destinies.

This. The ending kills my desire to replay the game.

Fixing the endings is just good business if they want to sell DLC

Unless they sell us the DLC by telling us that they unlock new endings - which would be really slippery of them.

Oooooh.. New endings? Like.. Different colours?! :o  They only used three so far, so sure is plenty room left in that viewpoint.

I concur completely.

I was planning on buying all the DLC and replaying ME3 for a long time to come.

Not anymore.

lol, lots of different colours. That's the problem . We're all burned by the endings, but will they use those to sell DLC to try and lure us back? And is it too late for that?

Without replay value, all DLC is useless.

I have absolutely no hope in an actual fix for this ending at all. And after than ending, no faith in them to actually care enough to put the effort into it they should have from the start. Any fix / patch / DLC that comes out regarding the endings will for me be just a "sit and watch" thingie. I won't subject myself to it unless I'm certain they put an effort into fixing it.

My idea.. Just let Garrus Recalibrate the Reapers!

You know what's sad about this is that everyone loses. The endings have burned gamers so badly that even if they offer Omega DLC and claim that it will actually change the ending, how many people will take that risk? I bet a lot of people would sit around the BSN waiting to hear if it's worth while.

ME3 was the most amazing game I ever played, and I so wanted to play it again until the last few minutes broke my heart, destroyed my resolve and crushed any hope I ever had. Please BW, give me an ending DLC so that I can download other DLC and enjoy mass effect for months to come.

yeah... I felt the same exact way. I loved the game, then the last few minutes just made me feel so miserable. like what was the point of the trilogy? of all those hours... just to die. =(

the game's theme was all about hope / Shepard's resolve and ability to survive despite all odds. then Shepard dies? WHAT? .... meh

Agreed, but maybe they aren't going to make any more, as ME3 is a one-playthrough RPG now.

They can add all the DLC they want.  But if they can't fix the endings then there is no point. Because in the end it does not matter what you do.. The same thing happens no matter what.

So yeah its in there best interest to expand on the endings and add a few more options to them.  If not then Mass Effect 3 dies now.

I cant play my shepard and roleplay when I know I die, and my crew takes a magic fairy ride into mass space away from the battle to get traped on some distant world nobody knows about.

Whats the point?

I would almost bet that with each DLC released, there will be an improvement to the ending. The "disney" ending will end up being only attainable if one purchases and completes all the DLC that is made available. Its a cheap marketing tactic but I wouldn't put it past EA.

This was posted in another thread, but I think it applies here.

Admittedly, that wasn't serious. But seriously.. Isn't it sad that a lousy over-used joke is a better ending than what the writers could come up with?

I'm not buying anymore games or DLC from them until they fix the endings. Period.

It's not even about the DLC only. It's about every future Mass Effect related product whether it is a book or a comic etc.

I have no interest in experiencing a story set after ME3 (if it is even possible at all). And I most definitely won't be playing a First Contact War game or something of the sort knowing all those people will be doomed in a few decades regardless.

Unless the DLCs change something with those awful, poorly presented and explained ending, I see no reason to be playing Mass Effect ever again as much as I love it. Heck, I don't even want to touch MP. I felt the series has finally concluded itself for better or worse.

It feels awfully weird to even be playing MP, a universe where you already resolve everything. The Mass relay already destroyed, playing MP/ or Pre-ending DLC AFTER  you finished the campaign just make no sense and unless you can be totally disconnected with the narrative you have invested emotionally over 5 years.... I can never bring myself to do it. If bioware want ME to end this way, then so be it for me. Everything ends, unless the DLC change that.

The point of pre Cerberus assault mission DLC contradict the very conclusion the game brought us. It leave no room for future emotional investment whatsoever. I know many people will feel the same.

The only way we will be thinking about buying new DLC is that the ending scenes WERE Shepard's dream or hallucination or battle of the mind whatever you want to call it. The REAL ending starts in DLC or something like that so we can make a new conclusion, but even that seems far-fetched.

The other scenario would be we get to play what happen between the Relay explosion and Normandy's magic escape. Again, that's probably not going to happen.

As it sits, I've no interest whatsoever in additional content for ME3 - I've not been able to convince myself it's worthwhile to replay the game again, despite having played through ME1 and ME2 many times to explore how the story changed, how the different classes played, the various relationships - not to mention purchasing (and enjoying) the DLC for 1 and 2. Lots of ME2 saves are going to go unimported.

It's a shame - I was really looking forward to running this one into the ground the same way I did ME1 and ME2, but it's not going to happen, barring some sort of epic move on the part of Bioware to recast the ending of their game - which seems a) unlikely, and B) time consuming. So even if they wanted to do it, I don't think it can be done in a timely fashion to the level of quality we would expect.

Honestly, I don't feel like going back and playing any game in the series after that ending. Not that it was bad, IMO it was a fitting end to any Sci Fi movie/game. But the fact is,all endings were somewhat depressing no matter what the choices you made were. Why would I want to put myself through that again? And that's why I won't be buying any future DLC for this game. Unless they decide to scrap the whole ending of course, which I don't see happening in this cycle.

You're right with this. Not only is all DLC ruined because of the lack of ending satisfaction, but also MP is ruined as well. I don't care about my galactic readiness anymore, because it means nothing. I don't need to fight because in the end, those choices will be it.

Why bother playing any more MP or SP DLC, if only to be left feeling like I've been kicked in the gut again at the end.

ME3 endings are pure crap,
Why should i?
Help Krogans
Help Geth and Quarians
Help to destroy Cerberus/Why no option to join them, this isnt RPG!

I would never buy DLC for ME3 if current endings stay. I get them other way if this is staying. Why would i buy them when Galaxy is gone anyway? K8ee is right about this
