I don't even think I can replay ME1 and 2 after this, which is tragic because I just spent a bunch of time bringing my character up to level 60. Not going to be importing that character.

All DLC for ME3 is unappealing to me now.

I agree with so much of you, I really have no problem throwing money at Bio ware, "but" I refuse to throw anything their way if they don't fix these endings. I swear if they fix these endings and make any DLC than ill be back on the mass effect band wagon, and continue to support them as i always have. As it stands right now though, i think im done.

What I find utterly amazing is that almost every player says the same general thing. We were all very excited to play through ME 3 several times from different angles and then the ending hit and all will was sapped. I can't believe no one at BioWare who developed the game came to the ending and said, "Yea ... These endings ... lets not do that."

Is there no objectivity at BioWare anymore? Did they become so pompous that they have lost sight of what mattered? Did George Lucas infect their creative minds? The game needed an epic crescendo of an ending to inspire hope about the future despite how dismal the circumstances may become and instead they delivered a flat lining mess.

Yep. BW should have anticipated this reaction. I mean, seriously. What happened to them, they used to be on the ball.

Not going to buy any DLC unless the endings are expanded, or the DLC itself expands upon/upgrades the ending(s).

For such a beloved trilogy of completely epic proportions to end like that...it's just not fair. It'd be like if at the end of Lord of the Rings, Sauron's ghost comes to Frodo after the Ring is destroyed and is like, "hey, all that was just a test. You passed! Some of your friends are dead, and you and your world have endured irrevocable physical and spiritual trauma because I put you through, and nothing can ever be the same again...but still, it was a test, you passed, hooray!" *Punch*

I finished the game a bit over an hour ago, and I'm sort of just sitting here going "... What?"

It raises far too many questions, and provides no closure whatsoever to a series I've absolutely ADORED since ME1 was released for the PC (Never been a console player). Some kind of God...thing that decides to wipe out humanity every 50k years because it says that machines will wipe everyone out? With their newfound free will the Geth would surely just want to build their own civilization somewhere - and apart from them, the only SYNTHETICS KILLING ORGANIC LIFE ARE THE REAPERS THEMSELVES.

And the fact you can destroy all synthetic life and then rebuild it WITHOUT the Reapers returning proves that there's just no reason for this Catalyst-being and his Reapers to exist. If it's willing to be destroyed along with all other synthetic life just because someone made it far enough to talk to it - why can't it just leave the galaxy in peace?

But eh, like I said - way too many goddamn questions are raised, and after an hour's break with a snack and a drink I'm still sitting here wondering what the hell I just witnessed. And no, it's not the good kind of wondering that good stories leave you feeling. This is most definately the bad kind.

Bottom line: There is NO replay value in this for me as it stands. I've played through ME1 twice, ME2 twice and now loaded my old savegame into ME3 and ripped out my hair trying to get everything sorted for the very best ending so I could see Shepard and Tali getting their life started on the homeworld.

Mass Effect 3 is an amazing game. Mantears were shed for Mordrin, Legion and Anderson alike, and my heart skipped a beat every time Shepard nodded off toward the end because I was afraid he'd die. Everything in this game was brilliant - up until the last five minutes. I very sincerely hope this is changed somehow. Mass Effect 3 deserves replay value! Right now it has none...

Signed very sincerely, a long-time fan and customer. Sorely disappointed.
- Matt, aka. Karathos

(PS: If something in my quick story-analysis there (mainly the Geth-Reapers-Catalyst part) is false, feel free to correct me. I'm just so confused right now and trying to get some sense out of it)

I have always been a fan of BW since Kotor 1 and 2. I defened it to no end all these years. I would tell my friends that BW was the company to buy games from. I grew up with EA games and got heartbroken at how much they fell. I told my friends that BW would never do that to us. I told them that BW actually cares about the gamer and the quality of the games they make. I told them that BW would never do anything like what they did to ME3. I knew that there would be no perfect ending to the game, someone close to Shepard had to die. I knew that, but the way they ended it made me hate the game. I use to play ME1 and 2 constantly, now i cant even look at them anymore.

I cant understand why they would do something so bad to the people they said ment a lot to them. I cant see myself ever playing the games again because of the endings. I worst part of all of this is i no longer beleive that BW cares about it even a little.

very simple math for EA and BIOWARE.

-no ending fix, very little pre ending DLC sale meaning less $$. (for me absolutely no DLC until fixed/added endings

-Fixed/added new endings, you would be able to sell me almost any Mass Effect content like ME2 meaning way more $$

Same here - I've loved the games from this company, and my space hamster boo can attest to that.

The ME games?  I was planning on playing them regulary.  7 fully realized sheps just waiting for their shot at ME3 after my cannon shep got her shot.

But now?? I don't ever want to play the games again.  I don't want to see the graphics.  I don't want to hear the music.

Why on earth would Bioware think I would want to purchase any new DLC for the universe they callously destroyed in mere minutes?

I don't know about you, but it feels like BW said a big FU to everyone that's played these games. Makes me sad.

Used to be as in as recently as when they wrote the scene immediately preceding meeting the Catalyst.  The mind boggles at how complete the dissonance between the ending and *everything* that came before is.

And regardless of how the creative team at BioWare feels about the artistic merit of their choices, from a business standpoint, the writing is on the wall at this point.  This is where we should be *happy* EA owns/controls them, because EA is all about the dollar, and if they want to see a lot more of them, they *will* fix this, because artistic concerns aside, the current endings are just bad business.

@Caz Neerg
Remember the guard after the Horizon mission talking about how someone could see what they were doing on Horizon and say "Yeah, that sounds like a good idea, I want to help with that." Who does that? The same type of people who joined Cerberus, Category 6's (Section 8's for those familiar with modern military jargon) and dishonorably discharged soldiers...... I feel like we, the players, have been severely dishonored by the last 5 minutes of ME3. I was so angry that I wanted to kick my XBOX across the room. Have this ending or a variation thereof as ONE ending would make sense but for all of them?
