Which crew do you feel gave the Normandy more life?

They had more side-conversations you could listen to and people to talk to (Cook?)
Though, I like how BW had the squad members move around the ship.

Kelly vs Traynor = Kelly wins for me. Kelly was extremely important in ME2 because she fed my fish which made me like her a bit. Now that its automated, Traynor doesn't have the chance of making me like her.

Gabby is the engineer right? She comes back. Missed Garner though. A good cook on a ship is an asset. Maybe even worth a war asset point.

Gabby was, but she gets no scene time as far as I'm aware. And what's Gabby without Donnell?

He comes back too. You just need to authorise their release as a Spectre then they will stay with Adams at the engineering section. The 3 of them even give you a very minor side quest to buy something.

Sure, the core squad is MUCH more alive in ME3 - and to marvelous effect. But the background characters on the ship, the ones without names and the like, were essentially regulated back to little more than set decorations. Hell, even Gabby and Kenneth were given less dialogue this time as well - which made going down to Engineering pretty much a snore fest inbetween missions. I miss their brand of snark.

Well, looks like I need to take a break from saving the galaxy a second time and free some bros.

To be fair, I played ME2 first so that probably solidified my bias towards the Cerberus crew. When I got around to playing ME1 I was like bla bla bla yeah yeah I'm just here to save Kirrahe and Wrex. XD (Of course I've eventually made it around to playing ME1 for more than just that. . .)
But yeah, even though I wasn't a fan of Kelly, still liked her more than Traynor. And I'd take any of the Cerberus crew over the two annoying chicks between the CIC and War Room, too.

But, like so many have said, the crew felt more alive, like they had engaging discussions about the events that went on, like the Collectors taking Ferris Fields or the fact the Collectors were Prothean.
I really didn't get that feeling in ME3...

Oh, and I hate stopping at the scanning each time I leave the war/comm room...

The fact they were always talking is good. Better than a vast majority of silence on the new Normandy.
