Man, maybe that will keep me from wanting to drink myself half to death after ME:3.

Yeah, you make a good point. I LOVED every single minute of that game. It was so flawlessly executed. I've never enjoyed a game so thuroughly. I was ready to call it my favorite game ever, only for the last 15 minutes to swoop in like a ninja and leave me feeling almost as despressed as when my dog died.greengoron89 wrote...
DA:O is Bioware's crowning jewel IMHO. Great story, great characters, great ending. It has flaws, don't get me wrong, but as a whole it's one of the greatest games I've ever played.
Too bad ME3 (and now the ME series as a whole) is such a complete and utter failure - and it's all because of the last 15 minutes. Five years, undone in 15 minutes - it's astonishing, really.

True. I did one playthrough while in a particularly synical mood where the warden died in the end. It was so beautiful that I was cheered up.SolidisusSnake1 wrote...
Seriously thats all we asked for. In DA:O your character can die, but its alright because you feel you have accomplished something with your death plus you get a resolution, you find out what happened to everyone in the end. I actually decided to sacrifice myself the first time through as I felt it did the most good and I loved it.
With ME3 none of my decisions matter, Shepard dies in every ending, all the choices go against my Shepard, and I have no idea what happened to anyone. A total failure.

Eh, it's implied heavily enough that he's alive, and possibly more. Still, the endings were so depressingly bitter... It wasn't clever writing, it was sadistic.Freeway911 wrote...

You can get an ending that Shepard doesn't die but all you get to see is him/her under a pile of rubble taking a breath.
Here's to a continuation.Pamine wrote...
Actually it made me want to play Fallout 3 again. There's one great game that learned from past mistakes and now is awesome.

DA2 is better than ME3...at least it can be replayed, but ME3 is a one-playthrough RPG - never thought I would ever see a RPG that could only be played once.Deztyn wrote...
Hell, the ME3 ending makes me want to replay DA2 again!
It can be though, and that's the beuty of it. Sometimes I want to see things end badly, and sometimes I want Starwars or LotR.DeathScepter wrote...
DAO is good for it is the right type of grey and with a possible happy ending. Even within DAO:A, it is not hopeless or emo.

And after that he die without his implants from Lazarus Project. Seriously...
