That is all.

No seriously. His insights were interesting, but what a giant downer he was.

Liked the character.

So what do you guys think of him?

I think if I witnessed the entire galaxy go extinct then wake up to find that it was happening again, I'd be pretty bitter too.

I thought his dickiness was entirely appropriate. He does say he is an avatar for vengeance sooo...

I liked his character progression, started off and purely looking down at everyone but you could tell towards the end his respect level had grown significantly. Slowly became less of a downer too. I thought it was nicely done.

he's also the avatar of vengeance. he's purposefully designed to be that way, and in that context i liked the character. i'd have liked to call him out and get him to at least acknowledge his bias, but he does however have a few redeeming moments where he actually does some good (in particular the scene at the embassy with the paragon interrupt), so he's not a completely one-dimensional character.

When I heard about him originally I was going to take him everywhere, but I got tired of the

"My people..."

or

"You 'stupid' for doing this..."

Stuff. Still loved the character...not taking him to Thessia almost seems like a crime.

I liked the character concept, the fact it was a total slap in the face to Liara's expectations was funny.

I would not change the character- he has witnessed the end of two cycles to the same foe, some bitterness is allowed, and even *he* believes in shepard at the end.

The one part that threw me though was the Jamaican accent. Totally did NOT see that one coming. All he needs now is green, black, and yellow armor.

Everything I've seen of him on YouTube is fantastic, best new character in 3.

Really wish he wasn't DLC, since I'm not buying anything else from Bioware till they make better endings, so I'm realistically never going to have him.

I loved javik, the Asari finally learned how to write lol... I'm a Star Trek nerd and in one of his convos he reminded me of Worf, he says when its all done I'm go to certain nebula, pay respects to my fallen soldiers and then die... It saddens me too bcuz he was so intrigal to the story that I don't think he was a DLC, he was part of the game from the beginning and then bam DLC. Not having him in game, makes game feel a lil empty.

Sounded more African than Jamaican

Love Javik.  I was glad that they went that route with him.  Instead of him being like BFFs with Liara or something as some all-knowing prophetic being.  I liked that he was just a gritty soldier like most others who knew the cold-hard truths about being at war with the reapers.
I also liked the list of book titles Liara came up with for her work on Javik and the Protheans. XD
Plus I didn't have Javik in my first playthrough, but I did in my second.

I had Tali in my first playthrough but not in my second.  He was like a godsend for me in my second playthrough as a squadmate to replace Tali.

God forbid I actually have to use someone else (NO OFFENSE to EDI, James, Kaidan and Liara, but jeeeeeze I just don't really like them enough to use them as squad mates voluntarily).

I'd prefer to have just gone in with Garrus alone to all the missions. :o

Oh yes I love his insight on the Salarians too.

"They used to lick their eyes..."

"...and eat flies."

lawl

And his obession with ejecting people from the air lock.

He really is a dirtbag, isn't he?

Still, with all he's been through, it's easy to understand why he's so cruel and bitter. He's tragic as hell, and not in the "dude shut up about your personal problems" kind of way. He's also a complete badass and unintentionally funny as hell. His design, while kind of a retcon, looks super awesome, and his voice actor did an amazing job. He really adds to the story and lore, and he's damned useful in combat.

New favorite squadmate.

Love the bit about the Salarians and when he's chatting with James about smoking and jokes at the Mess Hall. XDDD

I liked him. I wouldnt say he was a dick (well, maybe to the geth), more of a realist. He didnt like to sugar coat things or make promises that he cant keep. And can you blame him? He had to slit the throats of his best friends when they became indoctrinated. Great character
