He complained way to much.

We're not primitive when we're doing better in the war then you buddy, so stfu and take a seat.

Not really. All indications were showing that the current cycle was getting reaped WAY faster than the prothean cycle.  The protheans as a SINGLE SPECIES (yeah... single because they dominated the rest of the galaxy by the time the reapers had come along) were closest to finishing the crucible until Shep single-handedly pulls the universe off its ass.

He's seen it all before and knows the conventional methods of defense are futile given the fact that the protheans, with superior methods of conventional warfare, etc, still lost.

I'd be a pessimist too. It isn't until the end when he realizes that you guys could acually pull it off.

He really is a dirtbag, isn't he?

Still, with all he's been through, it's easy to understand why he's so cruel and bitter. He's tragic as hell, and not in the "dude shut up about your personal problems" kind of way. He's also a complete badass and unintentionally funny as hell. His design, while kind of a retcon, looks super awesome, and his voice actor did an amazing job. He really adds to the story and lore, and he's damned useful in combat.

New favorite squadmate.

Love the bit about the Salarians and when he's chatting with James about smoking and jokes at the Mess Hall. XDDD

What he says about Salarians is the best line in the game. Hilarious...................and he was my favorite squadie. His on the go history lessons were great.

I liked how blunt he was about things and took him on most missions.

I loved him. Not as much as Cortez, who I thought was the best written new character, but Javik was just amazing. Still, there were a couple of places where I wanted a Renegade Interrupt to punch him in the face.

I liked the character concept, the fact it was a total slap in the face to Liara's expectations was funny.

I would not change the character- he has witnessed the end of two cycles to the same foe, some bitterness is allowed, and even *he* believes in shepard at the end.

The one part that threw me though was the Jamaican accent. Totally did NOT see that one coming. All he needs now is green, black, and yellow armor.

His second set of armor is already black with yellow lines, and he has greenish tinting on his face.

If you unlock every conversation (to get his last power), the last dialouge on Normandy you can have with him is amazing. I think he's a good character. He may be a dick, but for all he have seen, being the last guy to survive the whole galactic cycle, not able to do a thing about it is pretty damn depressing. Give the guy some slack.

And while he might be a dick, you will see that he starts to change his mind, and finally come to trust the thought of having hope against the Reaper once he get closer to Shepard. it was great. If you take him to Asari's homeworld for Prothean beacon mission you get amazing convo with him. I was lucky I picked him for that mission.
