just beat the game, saw the endings...it feels like an enitrely different crew made the story for the very last 20-30 minutes of the game. Why after max war assets and readieness could I not have a better ending? Everything blows up. great. If i wanted a grim ending, or bittersweet ending i would go watch requium for a dream. I wanted to enjoy a nice prologue with seeing shep, and crew maybe 1 year out. A happy scene of galactic prosperity, rebuilding, seeing the crew hanging out and dooing their things, see how the romance was dooing. Then back on the normandy...instead? I get spit on. after playing since mass effect 1, all the DLC, and even one crappy ipod game, I get spit on. Im going back to playing Shattered Steel, at least that wont make me sad.
massively disapointed in the endings

Did they not try these endings out on a test audience? wtf maybe they wanted it to be like this, end the series instead of years of spin offs and pointless DLC

As am I. I'd heard things about the ending being terrible, but I never imagined just how bad it could possibly be until I actually saw it myself.
The ME series deserved better. It was a great trilogy up until the last 15 minutes - then everything went to hell, and my perception of these games is forever marred. I couldn't in good conscience recommend the series to anyone as a result.

it agreed. want an ending that has nothing to do with the catalyst, and happy times. My wife just beat the game. she is sad too. now i don't get any tonight. BIOWAREEEEE!!!
