Bioware is RPGing in the real world.  They saw the forums were in chaos so the only way to unite the community was to give them something so awful that 99% would be saying WTF.  Bioware sacrificed their reputation to unite the community.  This is the first time I have ever been on the BSN and seen almost universal consensus on an issue.

Unfortunately; it also causes everyone to leave, thus negating the very purpose of their sacrifice.
