Introducing new ending doesn't hurt the intergrity of the storyline.

Take Sherlock Holmes for an example, still a legendary fiction and will be for a long time to come.

For sake of your own trilogy and for the fans, improve it, significantly.

Especially with their emphasis on the phrase "there is no canon". I don't want a canon ending, I want the OPTION for better ones.

Seriously, this is a great metaphor. I don't know who wouldn't be willing to sacrifice some of the storyline immersion for a better ending. I know I would.

It really doesn't do any damage to the people who are happy with the way things ended. That's why I can't understand the people who insult or condescend those who want a new ending.

If you liked the endings, then you got what you wanted in 7 different, albeit subtle, varieties, and you can choose one of them. I don't see how an extra ending for those of us who want one would affect you negatively =/

As I've said about Sherlock Holmes, he was supposed to be dead after his duel with Professor M. However that changed after Sir Arthur Conan Doyle agreed with fans that something had to be done. Making the right choice is what truly counts.

i give a crap about canon...... make me feel like making those choices in ME1 2 and 3, getting all those loyalty missions and war assets mean something for the win i was fighting for.....

EDIT: and no space magic next step in evolution CRAP
