I wasn't a fan of the extra auto talking my Shepard has been doing this entire game, but just had a moment that made me rage just now.
After Thessia is conquered, Joker makes a joke about how the Asari probably wished they had more commandos than dancers right about now, to which Shepard totally snaps at him and saying how wrong it is for him to be joking at a time like this, even pushing him to why he makes these jokes all the time in bad situations.
Yeah, I totally understand why Joker does it, it helps ease the tension and make light of bad situations, but my Shepard went all emo on me and attacks Joker.
WTF Bioware, you're changing my Shepard to something you want, my Shepard wouldn't do that and understands this ****! There should definitely have been a dialogue choice after the joke that would've been at least light hearted in understanding Joker's intention, hell even EDI tries to joke with my Shepard and he's just "I'm not in the mood right now".
Is anyone else feeling like Bioware is stepping on their toes in portraying Shepard at times to be something that is totally unlike the Shepard you've been playing?

Eh, it's not like the warden. I sympathize with you, but Shepard is a clearly defined character. You get to choose how he handles certain situations, but Shepard is still Shepard. It's more like an Interractive movie character than something of your own design.

I guess, but I felt more in control of my Shepard in the previous 2 games than this one. I definitely understand Bioware wanting to emphasize more on Shepard's view of this whole war, but stuff like this feels like they're making dialogue choices that I wouldn't personally choose. Kind of like how at the ending we only had just those 3 options, not a 4th option of my Shepard doing what I would've done, stand up and fight against those options.
