Yeah the whole game felt rushed. I know that it was initially supposed to start with Shepard's trial, and you would get to like, defend yourself and stuff, instead of just suddenly WHEN REAPERS ATTACK.
I was looking forward to standing trial and seeing what defense/accusations there would be.

I absolutely hated what they did to Thane's character, it's no secret, I've raged enough and will continue to do so. But that is not the only issue, I do hate what they did to Shepard. This not my Shepard, she did a 180 and there was no way to really correct that through the story. Graphical issues, clipping, game freezes, the fetch quests, the journal system, that god awful pausing while you get scanned on the Normandy, trying to force other LI's on me, the lack of male options for a Shep who either romanced Thane or Jacob and Kaidan was Virmire'd (not that my Shep would ever move on but some would and it wasn't there for them) and that ENDING. WTF? BW, is this the best you can do? I think somewhere someone knew this was all garbage and people would be pissed so they slapped on a sh**ty ending in hopes that all the other glaring issues would be overlooked. If the ending is so bad, they will honestly think the rest of the game is great. Nice try, doesn't fly, your game sucks as it stands.

^ I second this!! Everyone is going on about adding dlc or changing the ending but what we really need is a whole new game!

Bioware proabably should have taken more time with this game.

Exactly!  I have spent waaaaay to much crazy time talking to my self about how NONE of my Sheps (even the ones who acted all "WHOOORAAAH!" for the Alliance), would have "turned themselves in".  Uh-uh, no!  Since they had to start everyone off at the same place, which I can understand from a resource POV, they probably should have gone for an Alliance trap for Shepard, and even then, house arrest shouldn't have been more than a few weeks to maybe, a couple of months.

The conversation in the beginning with Anderson, as you are walking to the council chamber, would then reflect the type of Shep you created.....for example, if you were a Paragon/Alliance lover, the dialogue would reflect (and appropriate choices would be given) a reluctant understand and (for the lack of a better word) compliance.  And it would be easy to have a middle ground (which is where my Sheps usually were) and a pure renegade Shep; not agreeing with how the Alliance is/was handling it, and stating as much, all the way to "RAWR, burn in Hell Alliance scum"

@utaker - Damn woman.....I just got all hot and bothered by your rant!  Good on ya!Posted Image

It really didn't seem right that everyone is so happy to be back with the Alliance. LIke they did nothing wrong.
I even heard Ken and Gabby talk about how great it was to be back in an Alliance Uniform. That's completely different from the things they said in ME2.  I would have stayed with Cerberus, but the Alliance are not saints. Also why does everyone keep trying to tell shepard she was wrong about Cerberus. My shepard never trusted them to begin with. She just worked with them to take down the collecters. Everyone else seems to act like she joined.

I agree shepard on trial was one of the things I thought was going to be cool to see. I was curious to see how that would have played out.

Where we suppose to see Shepards trial?
I thought we would as well. We didn't even get to see much of the Alliance headquarters.
They never tell us when the trail ended? Did it just end because if it didn't then why is Shepard still there.

Next thing you know the reapers attack and that's it. We never find out what happened in those six months.

The Mega Millions in the US is $550million - that should cover it!

The jackpot has been moved to $640 million. If any of you win, think of Thane! By Bioware from EA! XD

I have my tickets ready. If I win, I will make my own video game company, buy the rights to Thane from Bioware and then make a game just about him and other Drells and Kolyat. There will be many, many, many private moments with Thane hehe.

Oh if only...

Actually, all the ME2 romances were handled poorly. Well, I was satisfied with Jack, I expected less, much less, a side note or something, but it could or should have been more.
On the other hand, the game was severly cut here and there, I completely understand that the development team rather focused on the 'main' romances.

I must need more coffee...I saw your avatar and went into Mordin mode, voice included.

It seems very cut & paste and even more rushed. It did not need to be like this. It's such a waste, this game should have been epic. Instead it gathers dust, right next to Dino Crisis 2.

Yeah the fact that Shepard just stood there while Thane was fighting Kai Leng for his life was pretty dumb even without having romanced him.

Yes, the Plot Armor is thick on that one, like Sta-Puft Marshmallow man Liara thick.

@Cosmo - This is exactly why I couldn't continue playing. How is it that the following things seemed to be ignored: the "out of character" auto-dialogue, the story no-no's (IMO) of her incarceration for 6 months (from a story point I have a big problem with the beginning sequence...have since the demo), the change in character arcs, the bugs/glitches, the plot armor for ridiculous characters (KL), the lack of dialogue options, the sidelining of beloved characters (hello ME2 squaddies), the immersion breaking (on occasion) gameplay, the useless journal, the less than fun scan/fetch quests........

I realize that this is my opinion, and I would hope that anyone who payed for a game of a beloved series, could find enjoyment out of it, but for me -- I just can't get past these things.

BTW, @Aislinn - In case you missed it......LOVE your video! Brilliant and beautiful! Thank you for sharing. :)

You forgot the God awful GRAPHICS. I can't even remember when I've seen such ****ty animation and clipping in ONE GAME.

I just love you more and more every day.

I was also upset that my Krogan baby only referred to me as Shepard instead of Battlemaster. :(

...good points about the trial, etc.

I do believe there was a renegade option about turning herself over to the Alliance. So what happened to that scenario? if she had no intention to turn herself in...how did she get arrested?

Or the time I hopped off a ledge and Vega did too. He was literally standing on my head. Or Thane's literal hop from the hospital window to the chair.

Vega standing on your head!!! Oh wow, hehe! xD
They really need to patch those glitches! I also had one where I was talking to garrus and my eyes were white, kind of scary >.<

In the second one I rarely came across glitches. Oh the second one was so good, I miss Thane!

Definately graphical glitches galore! As for the trial, I only had one Shep (Cate) go through Arrival...(Cate had NO intention of turning herself in), I really had no desire to play Arrival again (not a big fan of solo playing in a party playing game....waaaaay to quiet.) But, they had a built in device with Cerberus, so if they had set up some kind of trap for Shepard, then had a trial based on either Arrivals outcome OR Cerberus (or both, for that matter), that would have been a lot more interesting.....and again I stress, NO SIX MONTHS house arrest. Dumb, dumb, dumb!

On a side note:
I think I really need to look into some other games, but I feel very limited. I can't play first person perspective games, and I'm not a huge fan of sandbox games. As for gameplay, I admit, I despise sneaking gameplay....ack! I get fluster and fail all the time! And though I have played plenty of platformer games, I kinda suck at them too.....haha!

I'm always drifting off into thoughts of what I'd do with a lottery win, and over the last few weeks buying a fix for ME3 (Thane) has been my top lotto fantasy... If I was in the states I'd be all over that Mega Millions... the most I'm in for this weekend is 4 million...which I could live with :D

Sounds like some really big jackpots going round this weekend, hehe; hope one of you wins and then proceeds to buy BW off EA-or open their own company with Thane rights-so I can ask you for a job- unemployed atm so I'd not mind working among friends!B)

Oooor perhaps I might win the Lotto/Joker jackpot over here this weekend, 6mil. euro I think, or somewhere there!:P Definitely enough to buy Thane's rights or at least finance the DLC we all want, no?;)

As  for ME3, BW overall had set some standards in the previous two games; they had raised the bar pretty high, both in terms of storytelling/plot and characters/character development, not to mention the gameplay itself. And then, in the last game, where they should have gone all-out to make it one of the best, most memorable and incredible games in their history...they managed to drop the ball, on so many things that have been discussed thoroughly all over the forum!:(

And the bottom line is, for me, that dropping the ball was unacceptable and inexcusable on their part; as said above, they raised the bar really high...of course the fans, all of us,  expected more! And OK, graphics' glitches and gameplay issues always happen, no matter how well-made the game, and OK, I'll accept that, in a game of the magnitude ME3 was supposed to be, some things may slip through the cracks;small things, like punching one reporter too many, lol, or some random call you made somewhere along the line that affects nothing and is forgotten at ME3!Mind you, main plot and genre and the overall quality of the game must still be in the top quality BW had accustomed its fans to,at all times. Again, once you set the standard as high as they did, you have to keep up with it or sink!No need to say what BW did there, do I?:pinched:

Characters shouldn't be forgotten or mishandled or broken and sent out of character; that includes both Shepard-who really acts off too many times for comfort-and the rest of the characters. Thane was...as if he'd done an 180 since ME2, which was all wrong in itself! As someone says in the previous page, I also felt wrong with Shepard walking away from him after he is stabbed by Kai Leng...My Shepard wouldn't walk away, but if she had to...she'd at least turn back towards him before going, or waited for medical aid to arrive or just take one second to talk to him, tell him to hang in there and not dare die on her!:?

Plot elements shouldn't be discarded, either, and, honestly, I've studied Literature and Symbolism thereof and the ME3 endings are not artistic, as BW statements said, they're downright sloppy! Artistic ending? For me, that'll always be games like FFX, or FFVIII, where pretty much everything that happened made perfect sense-even if the final plot twist regarding the main character in FFX came out of nowhere, it still made complete and perfect sense! ME3 endings...they're filled with plotholes, the laziness in making them is showing and, hmf, I fully expected an epic CG battle sequence, to see every force we spend the whole game bringing together in action...because every last game of a trilogy deserves a simply epic battle sequence,at the very least! And every main character in such a game deserves a reasonable ending, even if he/she has to die for the greater good;it's still closure...and we don't really get it from ME, at all.

Hm, buy bw, fire current staff, hire efficient staff, release ME3 redux...it's a plan
