I stay away from facebook nowadays because it is a confusing mish mash of timelines and garbled nonsense. I can't make heads or tails of it and the pay off of using facebook is not worth learning to use facebook in my opinion, lol.
But even if the points are calmly explained you are still met with the equivalent of a playground taunt calling you stupid and a crybaby for wanting him to live or have a bigger role. The points, or even just the plea to respect or validate another player's feelings and experience, are always ignored and you are faced with trying to win an argument you really weren't making in the first place. Madness.
What, may I ask, did you reply with? While childish responses may not sway minds they are still gratifying as all get out. The only unfair fight is the one you lose so sometimes just abandoning reason to sling dirt is fun. Especially when calm and collected reasoning is wasted on someone only looking for a dirt fight anyway.

I wish facebook was not so confusing to me, lol. Anyway, I'm pretty sick of hearing the same old response from people. "I didn't romance him in ME2 because I knew he was going to die." Why does everybody always assume that is the reason we are unhappy?

okay, someone asked me to do a blow by blow of the KL vs Thane fight and I don't remember which thread it was :D I didn't want to voiceover the movie so I just took and commented on some of the screenshots. It's much more obvious and there are more flaws when you watch the thing.

I simply replied with "How about you hold your breath until we stop."

hmmm...that was nicer than my response: I'll make sure to go tell every dying patient in a hospital, regardless of age kids too, that curing them would be stupid and it would take away from who they are just because some feel that once you get an illness the only possible use for you is to just die. As a matter of fact, we are all stupid and have no use since we all suffer from the same incurable condition since our birth. It's called dying. Yes folks sorry to tell you, we all start dying from the moment we take our first breath. Incurable so by some people's logic, we are stupid to want to live knowing we are going to die anyway.

@ RShara, well I don't know if I should laugh or cry at those obvious bouts of stupidity. Poor Thane, the victim of really bad writing.

PffffHAHA, I nearly did a spit take on my keyboard. For real though, these people need to stop trying to dictate the likes and wants of others when giving some players a different choice takes nothing away from them. Geez Louise, nobody rang your bell haters, take a seat.

Oh this has been cathartic. Sorry if I went into a big wordy rant earlier but it's nice to kinda vent I suppose. I'm glad there's a lot of nice people on this thread to listen. And maybe even some Bioware peeps listening? Eh? EH? ;)

@sydzilla...feel free to rant and rave. We've all done it at one point or another. I don't know if they're listening or not. Personally, I would rather share our time between here and facebook, mainly because fb is in a public domain. But I refuse to leave here because I would miss you all dearly.

I don't see one of them crying that ME2 was ruined for them because of all the variables in the SM. OMG...You let Garrus die!!! Now MY game is ruined. For shame...jackholes. Their logic and reasoning are flawed.

and this last one. why does the name look familiar?

"Who the hell said sick n' dying people aren't important? People DIE, it's a game about WAR, and SACRIFICE. Thane died to save people. That's not good enough? They set him up to die from the start, and by the mood of the entire third game, how could you expect anything different? Good bye, clones of Annie Wilkes, I will no longer read the delusions of fangirls."

Why yes I am Annie Wilkes, I am going to save some BW writer from a horrible accident, kidnap them and FORCE them to rewrite ME3 because I didn't like that the main character was killed off. Exactly the same thing. Not really. Shep is the main character and we are not asking that Thane ALWAYS live, we are asking for a choice. If one wants him dead in there game so be it. We want what every other ME2 character received. Well, Jacob needs to be fixed for those that romanced him.

There's that "fan girl" argument again. I'm telling ya, there are only two retorts and I am about sick to death of seeing them both: 'Fan girls' or stupid/unrealistic.

 Looks like I've got another book to add to my "must read" list. Comparing unhappy fans to a serial killer is pretty extreme though. Also a little sexist.

You can also watch the movie instead. Kathy Bates does an excellent job with the creepy thing. :)

@Sydzilla...getting a bit tired of the fangirl thing myself. I am a fan*woman*
