*ahem* And yes, having a dying man sacrifice himself is such a sacrifice when he's dying... and especially when his role can be filled by a multitude of other, random characters.

Y’know, if you people would just READ THE FIRST PAGE, it would save ALL of us a lot of time and aggravation. Just saying. You should really do that before posting in here, otherwise we’ll all just get annoyed because you didn’t bother looking up our reasons first.

I think you're asking a bit much of these people.

I mean, READING the first POST? The WHOLE THING that clearly explains every reason why we're upset and what led us to think Thane had potential in ME3? But it's so long!

It just so much easier to make blanket accusations and unthinking generalizations from the perspective of one who didn't romance Thane or like him much as a character.

Well just think about that one point, because of all the points listed I think this one should be enough to even think about this whole issue: you know the love of your life is deadly ill. You saw him in some hospital telling you that his condition is that bad - he isn't even able to spent a one night with you. With that knowledge you see him fight against this creepy guy of cerberus. And you stand there, just think: oh well... I know his condition is quite bad, but I want to give him the opportunity to sacrfice himself just to get this heroic death... Actually I would step in. That's the only logical option for me. Because I love him.

Sorry guys but we really do not mean anyone an harm here who thinks that his death was heroic. We even do not want to change the game from its start. We just want this optional DLC for which we would pay money. Noone is pushed to buy it. You like his dead? I am totally okay with that. Just ignore everything here and don't spent the money for the DLC. No harm you see?

I am happy for anyone who felt that Thane was handled the right way. Less sadness and tears you got to go through. Just let us discuss why we aren't feeling that way. I think we got well reasoned arguments here. The best: we just LOVE this character beyond his illness. Please let us just be with this.

Thane's treatment was horrible whether or not you romanced him. If you care about the character the amount of content alone was laughable. Has nothing to do with his death per say. (Alltho using his death as a plottool for us to hate Kai, while Keprals was the thing killing him in the end was pretty damn silly).

it is ok, as yamainu said, if you are ok with his death, it is your opinion we have ours and we are just asking for it and discuss about it.
we do not say something like "omg, ash and kaiden get a lot more romance sequences" we do not complain. all we ask for is to get a fair treatment of our beloved character. thane is a wonderfull one, for me, the best game character of all time, but this is totally MY opinion, just MINE. i don't have to be yours, ok? *Gosh*

please just be tolerant, we are tolerant too, and let us our opinion because we all live in a free countries where we have our right of free opinions, right? why do you all blame us, just because we love him?

you will also cry if kaidan/ash, liara or who ever will be killed and just forgot after all. And you don't get even the chance to have a kind of romantic content.
this intolerance makes me really sad, because i thought bioware fans will all stay together:(

I want those people who romanced Jacob and Jack to have the same too, they paid their money just as we all did with the belief that all would be treated equally. I am reminded of my Sheploo, he romanced Jack. The one man Shep I have and he went for Jack. I swear BW must have been laughing at my choices. "LOL, look at her, she went for Thane and Jack..trolololololol." I can't really stand up and protest point by point on Jacob and Jack. I NEVER romanced Jacob..why would I...just LOOK at Thane. There is no other choice after that. I can't point out the exact flaws on Jack's romance because it pains me to even think about playing the game. But I know they got shafted based on what I've read. Oh yeah and Samara it was hinted at and one was led to believe it could be possible but alas, not that either. Truth be told, if my Sheps were ever into asari's, Samara would be the one.

If we don't defend ourselves, then Bioware will lump us among the others, those who thought that the way it went down in ME3 was ok, and that we were all thrilled with the way we had to watch him die with no emotional reaction or mention from anyone else in the game after the fact.

Most ME2 LI's got the shaft and I feel this needs to be fixed and the way that can be done is character specific DLC. People WANT to see more of Jack , Thane etc. Why not have DLC missions that focus on them? That way people who romanced them get extra content to make up for the prior treatment.

it's not like i don't want making bioware seeing their mistakes (every genius makes mistake), but it is hard to hear from others players "you've romanced him, you know what you brought" and hurts me, because i also unterstand je romancers of jacob, jack, tali, garrus and even miranda (could not believe, that she don't get a good one o.O) are not satisfied.
but what is that? even trainor, cortez and chambers got a better romance than thane and jacob and then hearing, that we are all stupid because we're complaining makes me really angry

I just finished Thessia today and it struck me that Shepard was...heartbroken after that, about how she couldn't keep Thessia from falling and losing the data they needed and being, as she said to the asari councillor 'defeated' there! I'd have liked to see that reaction, that kind of humanity from her after Thane's death, I would have expected no less emotion! Instead, we get nothing, not even a mention of him...which somehow hurts even more than the fact he actually dies!!

Hehe, not finished with it yet-I play slowly, got to admit; unfortunately, having already seen the endings, both because I got spoiled and because I saw them at friends' playthroughs-and have had to comfort a couple of them by now, after it all- I am in no real hurry to get there! And I can't stop myself going into Life Support-and every time I do, I end up pausing for 10 minutes to cry!! I don't think I'll dare the game a second time, though I'd be tempted if it weren't for Thane and the endings mainly-I've 2 more Shepards waiting for their turn and one more of them romanced Thane,but even if I didn't have another Thane-mancing Shepard, I couldn't go through his death scene more than once; as it is, it's very dismal to know there's no point in anything Shepard does, anyway-the endings!
