-you have not worked in ME2 so you are not aware of all the story of the ME2 characters.
-you are new in the team and you do what you are told cause you not want to return serving coffee to the others in office.
-you have never tried to document yourself about the precedent chapters and never played any mass effect game
-you don't like Thane (how possible ???)
-you are having very bad memory problem
well...other than this it should be impossible....

Traynor. I call her an addon because she was an ME3 addition. Same with the fugly Allers. Vega I won't bag on because I actually like his smartas$.

Yeah, pretty much. I also think they should be fired for not doing their homework and doing an awful job on the game. But that's just me....

exactly, and if they fulfill the above criteria, they really shouldn't be writing Thane

The way they handled Thane was pretty pathetic. Like the terminal illness wasn't enough, they just had to pierce him with a sword. Dialogue was certainly lacking, considering that he was possible LI in ME2. That's certainly "interesting" way to treat a character that people are attached to...

I forgot about Traynor. I saw on youtube that you can talk about having a family with her. Garrus and Shepard talk about adoption.
Allers was not a great addition. She doesn't do much of anything really.

Okay, so Skyrim's romances don't have a lot of content.
But I friggin' love Marcurio. Always with me.
And I'm okay that there's not a lot of romancey stuff, because it's even for everyone and the fanbase is still big enough to find more stuff outside of the game.
And I just love hearing Marcurio talk. He's so... tsundere almost. lol "I know everything about Nords blahblah I'm not your mule blahblah I'm so awesome blah blah
WAIT YOU HAVE AMULET OF MARA? BABY I LOVE YOU AND WILL RUN A STORE AND COOK DO
EVERYTHING FOR YOU."
What's that thing he sometimes says when you come back to hire him after a rest? Not the adventuring one, the "I knew you'd miss me/couldn't stay away/something."
I'm probably going to start a fanfic for him once I finish my Alduin one.
BUT ANYWAYS... Thane, I love you too. Sooo much.

Anyways, I did a ME3 meme awhile back on my DA where I mentioned Thane's failed romance. Here's to hoping some people got the message. xD
Not to say raging on my DA journal about it.
I HALP!

Might have to try Marcurio, if I can ever manage to game again. ME3 has put me in the same mindset as trying to look at your parents after you caught them having kinky sex. You *do not* want to look at them. At all.

And it's definitely not worth tracking it all the way downstairs just to go visit Allers.
So my only hope is Kaidan or Liara and neither of those are ever happening again.
Guess I'll have to deal with only having 1025/1050.
Well, that'd be if I bothered to care enough about the game to play it anymore.

Ha, yes, ME2 gave me hope for more balance. F!Shep and M!Shep had an even amount of romances and pretty even everywhere else. Same in DA2 (we even got an extra!). But suddenly, F!Shep gets almost no options, and that does impact and detract from the game. You can't just throw in a different model and voice and think that makes it fair/even/balanced/etc. Yeah, we had the same quests and basic storyline, but not the same variety of options. Maybe they just assumed that since Garrus was so wildly popular, and Kaidan follows just a little behind and was meant to be a romance from the start, that the other options just wouldn't be used as much and didn't matter.
Or maybe they noticed how many guys play F!Shep for "dat ass" and so they thought to give a lot of female LIs. Idk. Either way, they made a mistake.![]()

Welcome Tup3xi. The treatment of Thane (and Jacob) was way beyond pathetic. It was a downright insult. The way they treated FemShep was a hard slap in the face. Since when, in my game, did I become a bi/lesbian? I don't remember making that choice. When I want "dat ass"...that is referring to Thane. Not some fugly would-be reporter (that has no business being in the game) or some duckface Kelly-wannabe. So not impressed bw.
You're welcome.Aislinn Trista wrote...

I kind of get really bothered when people go, "How can you like Ghouls? They're ugly; there's no realistic way you could ever like them and you're just being fangirly" or something like that. They are scarred and rotting, but there are plenty of people in real life who suffered different physical injury or birth defects, including burns or mauling, who still have perfectly healthy relationships because they have wonderful personalities! That doesn't make them ugly! It's as superficial as the "dying defines Thane" or "Thane has an exwife, how wrong" lines that some people send over. Yes, I understand you don't see Charon as James Bond, yes I know that you don't want a space magic cure or a guy who's already fallen in love (but that last one is even worse. I'm pretty certain almost all people loved/dated/married/etc someone before they found "the one" and being widowed doesn't mean you have to be alone).
But they sometimes cross a very offensive line that isn't "being realistic" and I find it hard not to comment. I hope most are trolls and not really that ignorant/insensitive. :/
Love is love. Stop judging who others love based on your opinons. I'm sure if your love was widowed or diagnosed with cancer or caught in a radioactive fire or made a victim in any other way, you'd still support them. I think it's fair to do the same for characters. I wonder why some people will cry at books or movies, then criticize those who have strong opinions on videogames for being "lame/nolife/fangirly/etc."
Okay, I've got to stop these word walls.

That I agree with, take it from someone who did and 25 years later, I haven't recovered. There are just some things that cannot be undone or should not been seen with mortal eyes.

Ah yes. I love that rule and I say it at every possible moment that warrants it.
I also like using the Wizard's Tenth Rule. Willfully turning aside from the truth is treason to one's self.
But in the case of most Thane bashers, Wizads first rule applies perfectly.
