Check my sig as well as others - we have a FB group, and we're sending some letters to PAX.  We are also doing a fanbook - you can search the groups here on BSN.  There is lots of Thane support to go around!

Already liked the FB page - reading comments of other Thane-mancers provides the comfort that Bioware refused to give me in the game. And I love that sentence in your sig "Still weeping in Life Support"... so beautiful and genuine in its simplicity!

She did an amazing job on that Thane drawing. I have it framed on my wall.
My husband doesn't like it but I don't care.

It really is quite possible Shara. People are just rude to both of us because *gasp* Thane is "destined to die. deal with it." and Jacob...can't even remember everything they say about him.

Gods forbid we actually have opinions of our own that contradict theirs.

I don't really know why people feel the need to be rude at all.  I mean really?  Hide behind an avatar and the internet?  Wow, that takes courage.  NOT. 

And there is still time to get a letter to PAX!   Passionate but polite, people, lets show some love for our especially favorite characters, the LI's!   Thursday 9pm is the deadline.

Mine on Thane is almost done, and I do touch on aspects of ME3 that I really liked.

I've had a toss-up between romancing Garrus and romancing Thane back in ME2 for my female Shepard. I know quite well Thane is going to die in ME3 (well, obviously I know, I've beat it with a male character :v). I like the idea of my Shepard losing the one she loved. Except that I gather from all this that Shepard reacts to Thane's death as you would to news of a one night stand dying. If that's the case, well then **** that. Is it worth it to romance Thane in ME2 or should I go with Garrus?

The romance with Thane in ME2 is wonderful. Lots of dialogue, scenes, character development, etc. But yes in ME3, Shepard does act more like it was a one night stand, both in the hospital where they have a moany make out scene and after Thane's death as it isn't acknowledged. You also won't get the Paramour achievement.

Garrus's romance is also good, about level with Thane's in ME2 I'd say as far as content. I personally connect a lot more with Thane so I could never follow through with my Garrus romance, but he's pretty cute. In ME3, his romance is far superior and will award you the achievement, if only due to the poor writing for Thane's arc.

I think Thane is a great character, and I like him more than Garrus who is my bro. And through him, you learn a lot about the Drell race and there's a lot more angsty/romantic stuff. haha. I think he's definitely worth it, but if you can only play one playthrough and you want a romance that lasts throughout ME3, I'd go with Garrus in ME2. You can always fall in love with Thane over at youtube if all else fails.

And I played ME2 several times, so you could always carry the ME2 Garrusmancer into ME3 and just play as a Thanemancer in ME2 for the awesomeness that is his romance arc.

Sigh. Garrus it is, then. Not that I dislike Garrus (I couldn't quite decide between him and Thane after all) but a properly done romance with Thane would be...so satisfying and interesting.

Just another thing they did wrong with the game, I guess. Can't be helped.

(And only upon writing this post do I realise that ever since I set my avatar to Admiral Hackett I'm reading all my posts in his voice. XD)

I had Jacob, Thane, Garrus, and Samara(kinda? lol) romance Shepards. I lost my Garrus one, and was all dissappointed but I still had my canon Thanemancer so I thought all would be well. And I could just romance Garrus in ME3. And I had Jacob and Samara....

Well.

That didn't work obviously.

And now, I'm too stubborn, disheartened, etcetc to bother going back and replaying for the achievement. If I would have gone with Garrus first, at least I'd have an okay playthrough before being crushed. D; So now I just use the unearned achievement as my badge of Thanesupportingforeveryness.
